im not happy they did they came and took over FRANKLEN BULLDOGS!!! but now there out and so am i but i was one of the 5 2nd graders to shovel in the building ground
Man this was the best grade school on the Eastside...We ruled in all sports..Anyone remember the old school song...Dear Garfield. Oh how we love the, we"ll learn of understand to meet the world in this demanding, hmmm we"ll learn of new and old, and always honour BLACK and GOLD!!! Summin lik that but Go Wildcats!!!!!
Would like to Say Hi to all the old students and The Teachers of Garfield. I do miss the old Garfield. The new Building looks like and office building not a school.
The city got the okay, or a bunch of money, to put into the whole school system in Toledo and started replacing the old ones with new schools. They want to do the same with the high schools, like Waite, but there's a lot of people saying "NO!" to that.
@onstot i went to birmingham as well i loved it there people for the most part were nice and micro society was awesome it was an interesting approach to teach people how to act in the job world and at the end of the year you could save your birmingham bucks and get something great at its auction
I went there back in 1993-1995 i was only 5 years old...

Birmingham was my grade school...
That was a really neat building. I can't believe I'll never get to see it again or show people who are important to me where I grew up.
I had no clue this sort of construction was happening. Is it part of some neighborhood revitalization program or something?
