What a pity there's only this video of the original WASO on the web, at least that I could find. Brings back great memories of Brugges & the Gentsefest back in the 70's before gypsy jazz was destroyed by the next generation of poetically bankrupt speed demons who seek only applause.
@NolaVenice poetically bankrupt hahahaahahaha, but unfortunately pretty true, nonetheless. Fapy is still the best and always comes up with beautiful lines, perfectly blending rapid passages with extended melodic phrasing, but I don't know who else can improvise in the old style anymore.
