  • i sometime dream that why cant we share our technologies indians are gud in some areas and Pakistani's are gud in other areas, why cant we help each other??? why we need USA, China, Russia etc we can we build each other with our own recources, i wish i could see the day when Pakistani and Indian Airforce, Army and Navy do joint exercises...we were one nation in past after all..The time is near you will see that golden time one day, call me naive or whatever this is how we can face the west!

  • To be honest when i went to Uk for my msc i was amazed to see all the pakistani and indian students living together having fun together caring for each other, i used to live with an indian and we even sometimes ate together in one plate but when i read the comments and specilly bad language used i feel very bad for both of these sides...if we can live together in the west why cant we respect each other when we are in our country...continued>

  • fuck this 4.5 gen jet. took 20 years and still undergoing processes...could't participate in any air show.totally fucked jet

  • india produced a 4.5 gen aircraft in one shot...china used to make copies of other aircrafts...preferrably MiG's...US has been developing aircrafts since 1905(wright brothers)..the lca may lack the requirements, but considering the indegenious origin...compensates more than required..

  • This is the story of 1 porki & 1 ching. Once porki was very scared and kneeled down to ching, and the ching pissed on him and later asked porki what do you want?

    Porki: I need a a/c

Ching: Do u want noodles and fortune cookie with it

    Porki: S

Ching: it is for take-out right?

    Porki: S

Ching: okay here, the bag is 25 cents so pay me 500 million

pokie goes back and to his horror finds that he cannot land, then he remembers n goes "thank god IAF is there"!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like this plane but unfortunately below mentioned are the facts about it.

    1. LCA cant even pull more than 17 degrees AOA meaning it has a limited angle of attack JF-17 can pull the same amount as a F-16.

    2. LCA isn't even for all weathers recently in an airshow in India in 2009 LCA wasn't able to take off in rain.

    3. Its too costly meaning its no longer a replacement for ur flying coffins.

    4. It has been 27 years and u only have produced 6 prototypes.

  • @Askywarrior Exactly. They should cancel the LCA program, go with the Gripen NG in the M-MRCA contest and be able to gain all technology needed to buy future aircrafts together with SAAB. The Gripen will make India available to continue the development of fighter aircrafts in India, but with co-funding from amongst Sweden, Thailand, South Africa and possibly Brazil. The Gripen has already proven itself as a mighty air-air fighter, having scored the second highest kill ratio in Red Flag ever.

  • 5. Its engine has problems it can only give 85 KN but the requirement of IAF is 95-100 KN

    6. Its also got thrust problems.

    7. Its 1.5 tones more heavily than planned.

    8. LCA at present is only pulling 8 Gs and IAF's requirement is at least 9 GS.

    9. Because of engine and thrust problems it can’t even carry full load of weapons.

    10. LCA needs new engine means the whole plane is require to redesign.

All these facts are stated on "Indian Ministry of Defence".

  • @Askywarrior lol! dude 1st stop making Personal and fake comments on LCA

and post a Official link to claim that your right!

why all Pakis are fraud ? -.-''

    Nvm!!

  • first steps are always most difficult,

and ADA has proven itself to Indian air force stringent requirement .

It tells us about LCA's capabilities.

  • LCA program not yet delivered onething , it is indian made KAVERI ENGINE (85KN)

  • when this LCA put into work?

Tax payers money is wasted in many ways. E.g 100,000 students from IITs and other premier institutions leave india **every year to serve western world. They all study on the cost of taxpayer's money too.

India is a different country altogether.

visit 2ndlook w0r-d-p-re-s-s com, Enlighten yourself, if you are an indian you will love this.

  • Do not consider this as a failure, sudeep. When the project started, Govt was scepticle about the LCA project. Govt became more serious and funded more in mid 1990's as it became clear to them that, yes, India has arrived at a stage to take this complex project. Scientist had to bridge a gap of 4 generations, and it is not a cake walk. Today, research is still on to develop kaveri, again a complex mission. So relax, infrastructure is there now, we need Universities and man power.

  • whatever u say bhartha but this gives a impression that HAL has screwed up a project, insiders say HAL was not serious enough in the begining and did not indulge in new innovative minds, universities....moreover now they r saying kaveri engine has to be replaced.....if u know what this means is u have a body and would put a engine inside accoring to specs of body - size thrust generation weight which would be very difficult and got to take at least 4 years, then ioc weaponisation take 6 years...

  • Ok, I know you are angry and frustrated at the time taken. Here are the facts, HAL before we built the LCA and Dhruv, was merely a assembly line. Remember chetak, that tweety little thing flying in the Himalayan height-this was HAL first modifcation. Prior to that, we didnot have any experience. Remember marut, marut was designed by a german not by an Indian. Anyways, have faith, a fighter program is not a easy task, sudeep, there is screwup, money has flow in the right direction

  • as i said latest news has said that there has been tremendous progress done in last say 4 years, when HAL got pressure from the indian junta to show its progress and then HAL took help from universities, IITs, colleges in many respects....this is definite sure news but what abt before that those 30 years....definitely they has been slowdown and wasting precious time and money....sitting idle or politics....can't explain u took 36 years to develop composites for body BULLSHIT....I CAN'T BUY THIS

  • I was not involved directly in any projects in IISc, Bangalore. One day, I visited aeronautics labs, there were busy developing blades for Dhruv. I knew few people who talked highly on the projects India had under tanken. Anyways, I was working as a research assistant in IISc, bangalore. So, have faith in our scientist. Really top notch, and money they are spending is accounted and is not going to waste. HAL is also a similar case. Do not worry, LCA is a remarkable aircraft.

  • ==

    agree to you on this.

  • ==

agreed to Sudeepto on HAL related comment

  • @sudeep

stop being such a cry baby. u r not the only person in India paying taxes. I am also paying taxes. I think they did great with Tejas.

  • the backgrnd music sucks , but aircraft awesome

  • All those test centers are located in so many different parts of the country.! It could hamper commutation between different departments and slow down the research pace..! They need to centerlise the process for better supervision and accountability..! If not in just one place atleast in 3 different places...

  • Well you know...as they say don't put all your eggs in a single basket.

  • Good work. Finally Indians started working hard. All the best :-)

  • Good work. Finally India start working.. :-)

  • at last they proved it

  • Jai Bharat..Jai Hindustan..

  • *sweet*
