Practice it on acoustic then try it on the electric, once you are comfy on electric go back to acoustic, this was the best way for me

It took 3 days to f chord on a semi-regular basis when I first started playing. So don't get disgusted. Set-backs are part of progress.

Remember: 30 mins to 1 hour daily, with breaks in between, and plenty of fapping to ease stress.

1. Listen to something or watch something while practicing. Listening to your shit playing will only drive you insane.

2. Practice A,D,G to build stregth and callouses THEN C.

3. The key is squeezing your grim w/thumb.

4. 5minutes for F is enough.

Too much practice can do damage to what you have. It's about building muscles, callouses, and stretching ability more than it is playing guitar. And don't believe any of those assholes that say they practiced for more than 6 hours a day. Either they have never discovered the pussy and/or they have no lives whatsoever (b4 fame). I'd like to see anyone practice that much with internet porn, games, and streaming movies. Good luck brothers!

The F Major 7th I use constantly because it's almost the same finger position as the C chord (just bringing fingers 2 & 3 down a string). I'm still trying to learn how to do the "easy F" with barring the B & E strings...but that's a work in progress!!

personally, i find it much easier to do the F with the bar rather than those two first options he's showing in this video...

guys, i've been practing hard for about 7 months and it was just about the time that i needed to get the bar chords done quickly (but yet i have to practice more on other unusual frets...)

so keep practicing...its not impossible :)

Yeah,you have to fret all the strings to make an F barre chord....Practice it slowly.Try fretting all the strings.You don't really need to worry about the 5th,4th,and 3rd strings coz you'll be fretting it on a different fret....Tell me if you can do it...

i've long flexible and reasonably strong fingers, but playing F on the guitar is giving me hassle. its the pinkie, it just doesnt want to do what its told. been playing the banjo for a few years and no major problems, then ui picked up a guitar. i think the banjo helped alot, then i found F. f**k lol. cheers for giving me a simpler way to get it out. been only trying the bar chord then the fingering. so like yourself, i can now stop rushing past any song with an F.
