  • Great video, friend! Thanks for not playing music over it so we can hear hear the sound of the bike.

  • I'll have to buy one ASAP when it hits U.S. showrooms before Aprilia realize most American riders don't appreciate a proper streetfighter/naked bike.

  • @leward18 I really feel once Americans test ride it they'll turn to this style, they're simply fantastic! Let me know how you get on with it. :-)

  • MAN!!! You are having me smiling big time watching this. :D :D I would love a quick shift, and that exhaust sounds amaaaaazing. I think I found a new dream motorcycle. Isn't it just sweet buying a brand new bike?

  • @ToastToGo It certainly is, and the smell you get from it can't be described! People wonder how the standard exhaust passed Euro testing with it's sound.

  • @RoadcraftNottingham Yeah I remember the new bike smell my first motorcycle had. Bought it with 0 miles and had the new bike smell for like 5,000 miles haha. I loved it. I should have held onto it.

  • 'It sounds fantastic'. You are correct.

  • @Roadcraftnottingham what road was the twisty one out of nottingham

  • @jimbobsailor It's the road opposite the Excavator pub at the lights on the way to Matlock.

  • so jealous of this,i have the rsv1000 '03 an this is a little out of my price range for the moment! dam it sounds good! what kind of helmet cam are you using?

  • @fatdrood It's a vio pov HD. Nice camera for serious vloggers but expensive at £500.00

  • @RoadcraftNottingham oh yea does real nice picture and sound

  • How it was resolved that the wind cannot hear in the camera?

  • @udi75 I put some sponge over the mic to reduce the wind.

  • @RoadcraftNottingham So camera has microphone connection, microphone and a helmet is a sponge is wrapped.

May I ask what kind of camera?

  • @udi75 It's called a vio pov hd camera. Google it.

  • Your 11 looks like a H. Lovely bike, would love a FZ1, CB1000r or Tuono for a future bike.

Comming from the SV would be leaning more in favour of the Tuono.

  • i didnt no he was an american mate

  • Great video. So now that you've owned the bike for a few months how do you feel about her now? Any regrets?

  • @BikeMeAustin Not only no regrets but the more I ride it the more I fall in love with it. It's beautiful. Thanks for asking. :-D

  • @RoadcraftNottingham Sure is a beautiful bike. They won't be here in the U.S. for a few more months but I cannot wait to test ride one. I currently have an 09 Factory and absolutely love it and should I opt for the new Tuono I won't be getting rid of the 09, will just have two different versions in my garage. Thanks for the great videos/info!

  • @BikeMeAustin Well make sure you test ride it then be sure to report back with what you think of it. Look forward to hearing from you. :-)

  • @RoadcraftNottingham Will do, I'll try and make a video if possible. Stay safe!

  • @BikeMeAustin you obviously hate the bike or jealous

  • @MarkieBhoy17 Not at all, they've not been released in the USA yet and he's saying he's excited about getting a go on one. You must have misunderstood.

  • @MarkieBhoy17 What are you talking about?? Obviously you're misunderstanding something here.

  • Been on that road to matlock many times, nice bike, enjoy it!

  • Was thinking about a Speed Triple for a new toy after Afghanistan, but this video convinced me otherwise! Hurry up Aprilia, get these bad boys to the States ASAP!

  • @RLtW88 Glad I could be of help. you'll love it! :-D

  • @Korova83 Thanks for the comment and tips. My heart is with this bike and am looking forward to my test ride next year:-) My bike is now almost ready for sale! Regards

  • @RoadcraftNottingham I'm sure I can be more of a fuss pot than you when it comes to buying a new bike:-) How would you compare the build quality to that of Ducati or even that of Japan build? Does the electric gadgets distract you from driving? And how do you know what setting to use while riding? Sorry for many questions but I'm excited about this bike and very serious to really buy one in spring next year

  • @Thermoman69691 Build quality and finish is lovely, the gadgets don't distract, I have traction control on 8, the wimpiest and wheelie on 1, the biggest and it works. It's easy to change modes whilst riding.

  • @Thermoman69691 i can answer abt that. Quality is ok but no trasparent on the plastic and too plastic too scooter... I had ducati, tuono v4aprc and now multistrada 1200S. Eletronic gadget doesnt distract from drive, traction control is really easy you have + and - button on left. You can see the map on the display. S sport, T track, R road. Bike handling excellent. Too hot just when you stop, very stiff the setting. I prefare ducati for the punch, aprilia lovely sound. Both bike that i had excel

  • @RoadcraftNottingham Yeah I would love to but am in a rehab clinic nursing a shattered knee and broken back after a crash on a friends bike. My first crash in 27yr history of biking but it leaves you thinking and I've thought that it's time to give up fighting power on my ZX12R and choose a bike that can do much everything your'll need it to be. I've fallen for the V4R without even trying it much like you did, but why is that?¿?¿ Is service parts still a problem by Aprilia or is that history?!

  • @Thermoman69691 Sorry to hear about your crash. Parts will only be a problem during the Italian's holidays in August. I'm a REALLY picky person when it comes to bikes due to 27 years riding them for a job. I'm hook, line and sinker in love with my Aprilia so that's a big compliment from me. lol

  • @RoadcraftNottingham I've owned my ZX12R from new in 2002 and the speeds it can do is absolute stupid really and now I've been looking on and off for about two years now looking for a replacement. I do want power but rather compromise with handling. It will be a toy not a everyday hack and I don't want to regret it after one year. Did you change the exhaust system btw?

  • @Thermoman69691 I love the Tuono in road mode -40 bhp then switching it to Sport gives the full 160 odd horses and rediculous power WITH the handling to match, it wants corners before I do, incredible fun.Fitted the Akro carbon can with de-cat pipe, town riding is softer and smoother now.The video comparison between the Gopro and vio is WITH the can fitted. Everywhere I pull up I get people staring at it with pointing and smiles.I haven't fel this way about a bike in a long time. Gotta try one!

  • Great test ride!!! It sounds like two Ducati motors running side by side:-) It's something different and it's not a Ducati. I'm looking for a replacement bike from a ZX12R as this bike has way to much speed and handles like a pig! I want four cylinders but want V-power! Is this a bike that you can live with for a long term? Thanks for up loading:-) +1

  • @Thermoman69691

I bought it as a toy. And it's not my only bike but I love riding it. Played on one of my advanced pupils zx12 and hated it with a passion, so uncomfy. so get yourself a test ride on the tuono and prepare to buy!

....and if you can put up with 29mpg in "play mode" and 100 miles to a tank, I think it could be an everyday bike.

  • I took one out on test yesterday and my reaction when I opened it up in seco nd was EXACTLY the same as yours. A fantastic bike and the only one I've ridden that has me thinking of selling my 1050 Speed Triple. Enjoy.

  • @ponty1050 LOL, that comment made me smile, it's nice to hear of people experiencig the same as me. The bike has done about 600 miles now and has had it's first service. The more I ride it the more I'm falling in love with it, every time I get on it, it makes me smile and that sound of the Akrapovic is, next to the Bugatti Veyron and the Euro-fighter, the best thing I've heard.

  • Geat run through of your first ride....jealous all the way round! Cheers from sunny Los Angeles.

  • Fancy swapping keys for a cbr 125 yet? LOL

Only engine that sounds better in my book is the triumph triple, but it would still see me doing naughty speeds just to hear that sound, give it a couple of months hopefully I'll have a deauville, just whilst it seems quick to my cbr.....mod 2 thursday morning in shrewsbury :) Safe ride

  • @markgr1nyer The only thing about the Triumph, in my personal opinion is how painfully ugly that bike is. I have an Akrapovic pipe arriving for mine today so we'll see how is goes. Go onto Facebook and put "Roadcraft school of Motorcycling" in and like us, any updates are on there.

Make sure you let me know how your test goes Thu, I'll have my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

  • @RoadcraftNottingham if your riding it your not looking at it, I personally prefer the sprint st triple 1050, nice instrument panel, and all that lovely fairing to keep the wind off. And why would you get an aftermarket exhaust, the first one sounds amazing (admittedly i'm used to a glorified hairdryer lol)

  • Pulling into Matlock to have a strong brew to calm those V4 nerves eh?

  • Nice bike and lovely sound.

    What happened to the Fazer?

    JJ

  • @The33JAYJAY Thanks, I've still got it, it's up for sale and my instructor is probably gonna have it. Fancied a change as a treat and I'm falling for it more each day. Hope you're well.

  • Great stuff, amazingly good looking bike.

    Thanks for the video!

  • 3:23 fucking brilliant LOL

  • Great video and audio, best YouTube rider vid I have seen in a while, thanks for taking the time to edit and post it!

  • Nice one. Ill keep an eye out for your next vlog after its broken in a bit. cheers.

  • do you still have the beamer?

  • @kaiser9100 .. The K1200? Yeah, it's still at the shop ATM

  • Wow.
