i really like this video. i have a question... does anyone else not get how there can be a direct biological descendant, a grandson, of a cat? aren't they supposed to be isolated?
there is no direct biological relationship between shishou's grandfather and kyo- who is not related to shishou, he only serves as a father figure to kyo but no blood relation. when the old cat died (shishou's grandfather) the cat will posses a new body of the sohmas, so when kyo was born it possessed him.

I dont know about the anime but in the mangas they talk about his grandmother a few times.
She was visiting the man in his "cat house".
Then they talk about his parents who rejected him(well more his dad), and the dad isnt cursed thats why he's not hated, he has no powers.
