Maybe. ND had an awesome recruit class last year, with some solid defensive players, and that didn't seem to do the trick. Maybe Kelly will be a better coach. He seems like a much better in game coach than Weiss was. But, as you point out, he's an offense first kinda coach. Cincy had no defense to speak of, and that was certainly a problem against the Gators. Of course ND fans I am sure would gladly take Cincy's season over ND's.
