I find it interesting being of Native American descent to watch 3 Europeans debate illegal immigration.

This is a nation of immigrants, why must we throw so much hate? How can an alien be illegal in the USA? Immigrants have built and continue to build this nation and they deserve equal representation too. This is supposed to be the land of opportunity, how is this even a debate?

@Watchout5 Its one thing to be a Legal immigrant but Illegal ones steal peoples identity. Working and using someone elses social security. They also drain our health care system and school system. I know there are many great people that come across the border but facts are facts when it comes to how it effects the ecomony. I am not a law enforcement agent, nor a census taking nor do I work for any government agency. However, in the US I can lawfully ask you any question I want. You have the right to refuse. You also have the right to refuse to answer a census taker.

This really is a non-topic. After all, you would never be able to get an accurate figure on the amount of illegal immigrants anyway when you straightforwardly ask them whether they are in USA illegally. Many illegals would choose not to cooperate with the census, and many others would lie and say they are legal citizens.

All demographic questions on the census are not authorized by the Constitution. The only thing that the Constitution authorizes is to count. Not to ask our race, sex, incomes, number of televisions, etc.

I urge you to leave these blank when the census workers come and ask.

prisoners are counted in the census and many prisons are in rural areas. The majority of those prisoners don't get to vote. So stop pretending it is about representation.

If you ask a person if they're here legally, and they know they are not... what makes you think they're going to tell you the truth? Especially on a Government Survey.

The Census is only to count those that are here, it does not count why or if they should be here, only that they are.
