Fuel weight counts in Forza, it has since the first one. I wonder if they will allow me to set my fuel load from the start AND how much fuel I take in the pit.

auto upgrade on AI cars is so awesome... I have been wanting that since 1.
Now we just need the optional Bar-style horz/vert G-meters back (like Forza2 had as an option), that axis-based G-meter in the F3 telemetry was no good for racing, and barely usable while tuning on an empty track.
Personally I prefer Forza because of the customization and community. But Gran Turismo provides a more realistic racing experience. I think both games have their positives and negatives. Stop arguing about which is better and just agree that both games are equal.

@MrTransformerfan1996 not neccasarily, fm3 in my opinion and experiene of having both games is alot more solid then gt. Engine sounds, physics, the clutch button actually makes it feel so close to real life. And besided by the time gt6 comes out and if it does, its not gonna be for another 10 years, and by then forza might come out with another, since they pull out a game every 2-3 years, whereas gt took 6 yrs, and the game is still terrible.

thay should have online free roam open track days,where people are on the track running cars and you can just hop in take off out of the pitstop,just like real track days,not just the usaul stuff where everyone starts together,some times you just want to have a trackday driving experience not just competition mode all the time
MOST IIMPORTANTLY we need more Organization in the online community everything needs to be set to a class or hp, not just circuit .Like drag racing , so it is not the datson every time 100% setting customization up to 1hp and TCS AND ABS allowances. that would make it fun! Now to make it EXTREME!!! and use these beautiful cars make more online commercial races for each type of racing. Then have like 70-80, 86-91 year races Muscle, Import, Honda, Nissian

@giverdeadlyvirus they just dropped the price of ps3 to $250. ps3 is better for any racing game simply because of the wheel selection. if you want to really enjoy racing games, even unrealistic racing games, there's nothing like a force feedback wheel, they're that good honestly. the cheapest wheel on ps3 that has everything you want is $99 (logitech dfgt). the cheapest wheel for xbox (fanatec gt2) is $350 minimum. it is better but 3.5 times better? no. plus the reliability issues with xbox...

I heard it sucks though. and does it have 900 degree steering and good force feedback? or does it just have vibration? because there's really no point getting a wheel that doesn't have good force feedback. but eitherway, I still recommend getting ps3 for racing games simply based on gt5. I currently own a ps3 but as a lover of cars this gets me waaay more excited than GT5. I could see myself getting lost for hours just doing some car painting or playing car bowling or trying to beat a friend in rivals mode. CAR HEAVEN.

@7orqu3 - We don't know that (and from what we've seen so far, it's well beyond the point of just being Forza 3.5). Turn 10 say there are many features they haven't announced as yet, but will be doing so bit by bit between now and launch. Hence within the last through days, they announced TopGear car bowling and soccer/football modes. Imo, image based lighting will make night racing relatively easy to implement. Will there be levels of rain? I don't see why not, but let's wait and see :-).

Really cool that they treat each car with the same amount of respect of detail. Everyone has different favorites. Forza 3 was great, this is going to be even better for us racing sim fans.
What neither turn 10 and polyphony digital haven't realized yet, is that apart of cars, we also would like to see realism on the track itself and in the environment.

I'm sure numerous techniques are used (probably 2D for trees further back from the track, since those don't need to be 3D), but 2D trees hasn't been a criticism of Forza's tracks over the years, but it has been of GT's.

I said the INTERACTIVE racing line, i.e. it's more than just a coloured line, it changes colour to indicate the breaking zone, THAT is the innovation. Damage was in Forza before GT, so which is better has nothing to do with it. GT is the first major CONSOLE sim, but sims existed for YEARS on home computers and then PC (I played them!). FZ 'copied' GT, GT 'copied' FZ, that's the way it is.
it honestly seems all they do is copy and improve GT5. They even said GT inspired them to make forza. So many elements are obvious, i should know, i own all of them!
@d1jal - And FZ inspired GT too. All devs look at their competitors, taking the best ideas and adding their own. For example, the *interactive* racing line was an innovation from the first FZ, then GT implemented their own version. Damage was also in since the first FZ, and now GT5 has finally got it. There's also car customisation in FZ and I rate it's AI above that of GT. So it's not about copying, if you were to create your own sim, you can't do so without taking elements seen in FZ and GT.
I wish there was a option that lets you remove stock wings or spoilers from cars for example an Subaru WRX STi ( you all know it has a wing or spoiler) it would be sick having a wingless STI or EVO...an 2005 subaru STI wingless with volks Te37 0.0 my dream car ;)
Christmas is definitely coming more than once this year...I think I could just about bin every driving game in my collection when this game enters my console... awesome work for Turn 10.. Sounds like a game to last forever and looks amazing

@bridica funny part is, the only time he used Kinect in this entire video was the voice feature, which is something that every game can use to navigate much quicker.
My only concern is the new look/design motif. Somehow, I think the new face of Forza has lost much of the elegance of FM3.
The logo NEEDS to be redone too. I thought the separated "M" in the FM logo was a M/3 to signify FM3. Now it's FM4 with the same logo-- only uglier. So far, each game has had its own logo/typeface. Why recycle now?!

Also I have to put that Turn 10 perfected the art of ripping off the buyer, they release the game and then day one they have a dlc for cars that should be in the game instead of having to pay more for four cars and then they have car packs every month for a while. I will say as GT fan they're doing the smart thing by getting all these licenses for Top Gear, Porsche & BMW but I prefer the makers of GT for not screwing me over
@HUMMFREAK You're right I blame Microsoft first they put out a console with heating problems which they knew about, then one of the consoles they release doesn't even have a hard drive which is needed, no wifi that comes with it out of the box until 4 years after it was released so they would charge 100 for that adapter, charge money just to play online, didn't even have an hdmi output for a couple years, Turn 10 is under Microsoft so they charge for what should already be in the game.

Remember when he said Forza 3 was the definitive racer of this gen like 10 times and said the physics was on the cutting edge of science hahaha what a liar. Forza 4 is only getting hyped cuz of the GT vs Forza fanboys fights. At my local game store theres only been two pre-orders for Forza.

Add to that the fact that many believed this game was Kinect only when it was first announced. That wasn't well taken by the gaming community.

@7orqu3 - We don't know that (and from what we've seen so far, it's well beyond the point of just being Forza 3.5). Turn 10 say there are many features they haven't announced as yet, but will be doing so bit by bit between now and launch. Hence within the last through days, they announced TopGear car bowling and soccer/football modes. Imo, image based lighting will make night racing relatively easy to implement. Will there be levels of rain? I don't see why not, but let's wait and see :-).

It's amazing how Turn 10 Studios do things in 2 year gap between Forza Motorsport 3 and Forza Motorsport 4. I also see a HUGE difference and graphics department. Job well done.

Really cool that they treat each car with the same amount of respect of detail. Everyone has different favorites. Forza 3 was great, this is going to be even better for us racing sim fans.

@MrFranciscoFidalgo - This is a rather blurry video so it's hard to see, but those are not simply 2D trees everywhere, they do have depth, hence have a look at that same track from a clearer video (look carefully at the closest trees when passing);

I'm sure numerous techniques are used (probably 2D for trees further back from the track, since those don't need to be 3D), but 2D trees hasn't been a criticism of Forza's tracks over the years, but it has been of GT's.

@MTMind2 Yep, I can see that. Definitelly looks better than GT5, but looking better than it on environments isn't that hard either. I understand car models look phenomenal, there's also plenty of other cars on track and the physics going on are like crazy stuff, but damn, I wanna see environments looking as good as Dirt 3 for example.

I said the INTERACTIVE racing line, i.e. it's more than just a coloured line, it changes colour to indicate the breaking zone, THAT is the innovation. Damage was in Forza before GT, so which is better has nothing to do with it. GT is the first major CONSOLE sim, but sims existed for YEARS on home computers and then PC (I played them!). FZ 'copied' GT, GT 'copied' FZ, that's the way it is.

it honestly seems all they do is copy and improve GT5. They even said GT inspired them to make forza. So many elements are obvious, i should know, i own all of them!

@d1jal - And FZ inspired GT too. All devs look at their competitors, taking the best ideas and adding their own. For example, the *interactive* racing line was an innovation from the first FZ, then GT implemented their own version. Damage was also in since the first FZ, and now GT5 has finally got it. There's also car customisation in FZ and I rate it's AI above that of GT. So it's not about copying, if you were to create your own sim, you can't do so without taking elements seen in FZ and GT.

My only concern is the new look/design motif. Somehow, I think the new face of Forza has lost much of the elegance of FM3.
The logo NEEDS to be redone too. I thought the separated "M" in the FM logo was a M/3 to signify FM3. Now it's FM4 with the same logo-- only uglier. So far, each game has had its own logo/typeface. Why recycle now?!
All that aside... I'M RIDICULOUSLY ECSTATIC!!! Thanks Turn 10!!!

Ya cause all car lovers know that you drive without a steering wheel. Also I have to put that Turn 10 perfected the art of ripping off the buyer, they release the game and then day one they have a dlc for cars that should be in the game instead of having to pay more for four cars and then they have car packs every month for a while. I will say as GT fan they're doing the smart thing by getting all these licenses for Top Gear, Porsche & BMW but I prefer the makers of GT for not screwing me over

@HUMMFREAK You're right I blame Microsoft first they put out a console with heating problems which they knew about, then one of the consoles they release doesn't even have a hard drive which is needed, no wifi that comes with it out of the box until 4 years after it was released so they would charge 100 for that adapter, charge money just to play online, didn't even have an hdmi output for a couple years, Turn 10 is under Microsoft so they charge for what should already be in the game.
