Hare Krishna is a Movemnet, they are actually Gaudiya Vaishnavas. Almost half of Indian Hindus are vaishnavas, so yes they White Vaishnavas do have Indian counterparts. As for being accepted in Indian society, I personally know many of them who are married to Indian women and live in India.

By the way there are many Gaudiya Vaishnavas in China, Uzbekistan, Kirghistan, as well as Malaysia and they are not of Ethnic Indian origin.

I could send you a link about the ethnic Chinese gaudiya Vaishnavas in China if you like. There are many of them in my city, and one of them is the head priest of the Hare Krishna Temple.
