And he ordained Peter the prophet of His church, so that they would have a leader after Christ went back to heaven. If there is any time that the Lord's children need spiritual guidance it now. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that means that He will always send prophets to His children to guide them back to Him.

When I read the writings of the prophets (found in the Old Testament) I see men who tried to warn the people. Men who spoke the words of God. They WARNED the nation of Israel against following false gods and false doctrines. THAT is what a prophet does (besides prophesying of future events).

It's really sad that many Mormons are afraid to have the claims of Mormonism examined. It's one thing to examine their own personal beliefs, but why be afraid to examine what a church (any church) has publicly stated and printed in their own doctrinal teaching manuals and preached from the pulpit?
I really like Glenn Beck as a political commentator. I think he is talented and entertaining. People associate themselves with different beliefs for different reasons. Glenn clearly found a belief system that makes him feel good. I have nothing against that. If his religion makes him a better husband, father and citizen, then more power to him. I will not try to restrict his right to voice his opinion, and I expect the same courtesy from others who may disagree with my opinion and beliefs.

Criticizing a church just for the sake of criticism is wrong. But standing up for the truth and exposing the false and misleading information put out by ANY church is NOT wrong. If a church (any church) is built on a lie, it must be exposed. The truth will prevail, whether in this life or the next. Why wait till the next? Accept the truth today.
