actually not true, the moons core cooled as did mars and other planets, the thing that holds us down is gravity, but it's the mass of the planet which causes the planet gravity, but once the earths core cools the magnetic field will collapse and we either bake to death on once side or freeze on the other but that won't happen till a couple million or even billion years
