  • the music is trippy

  • when lighting strikes you can guarantee it will take out alot of power.

  • This just happend to me and it was so loud my house auctally SHOOK

  • This music is creepy.

  • Emoji keyboards rock

  • U could have been faster it was boring and confusing

  • 0:07 looks like daylight

  • .5 or .6 that is

  • It's the amps that kill........6 milliamps is all it takes to electrocute a person

  • pika CHUUUUU

  • After 0:31 the rest makes no sense

  • Marty just went back in time

  • @lightningGundam That deserves a thumbs up

  • @ninja9511 lmao

  • @lightningGundam Thumbs up for Back To The Future mate. :)

  • that wasn't an emp it was a ground streamer. you can't see an emp.

  • @RezViper Cameras detect EMPs.

  • @SonnyWithAChanceLand I've yet to actually see that. if you can direct me to a clear enough video please do so but until i see it for myself, unenhanced and in the rgb spectrum, i'm not taking your word for it, sorry.

  • cooool mann

  • i don't think this is real , if it's real please show as the official vedio

and i think a strong lightning like this will destroy the house!

  • @Chameleonslove Here it is, I actually shot it and I promise you it's real, I gave nothing to gain from lying. enjoy.

LIGHTNING STRIKE UP CLOSE THAT COULD HAVE KILLED ME

  • DAMN NATURE U SCARY!

  • you should get a high speed cam that can record thousands of frames per second. slow it down, and the results would be epic.

  • @cg1725 irk!!!!! :D i love watching nature at its worst and when it stikes close its soo cool!!

  • sick vid! who ever didn't like this is fucking lame!

  • had a thunderstorm it was night seen bright flash then heard 2 booms first one was really loud sec was small sounds like space shuttle twin sonic booms i never heard lightning have 2 booms would it be a firework or lightning?

  • @skateboy159 yup, same thing, I had that once, you get shock wave from both ends of the strike. the air collapses from the bottom up.

  • Note the "reverse" (upward) strikes at 0:24. Those will fry you as well. I might add that if you could measure the voltage of lightning (nobody has figured out how to do that yet) it probably would only be about 400 volts.

  • wat the.....200m volts....

  • mini emp

  • all fake....

  • @saralea9 your all world is fake you are fake and all the universe is fake.

    damn, fuck you!!!

  • Lightnings have more than 1 000 000 000 volts to be able to travel from sky to ground. 200 000 000 volts are too little.

  • whats the music called in this video ?

  • That made it look like armaggedon.

  • very closer haha

  • you idiot there is no emp pulse from a lightning strike. that would disable literally every electronic within like 2 miles.

  • @BurritoMan281 eh ?

what are u talking, mr. "black and white"-viewer

  • @MrTiti

    What are YOU talking about?

  • @BurritoMan281 there IS electromagnetic impulse. When i filmed lightnings with my cellphone, i saw before every lightning a red line crossing horizontally near lightning target

  • @draugfriend

First of all, its called an electromagnetic pulse. True EMPs only exist in nuclear weapons and EMP specific weapons. You might be receiving some interference only because the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) says it has to receive interference.

  • @BurritoMan281

No, actually, listen to an AM radio, and you will hear it.

Electronics devices are not affected due to the fact they are very resilient of this and are often shielded. Light is EMP, lighning affects all EMP, visible and non visible

  • @rolandthelinuxer3 you are too stupid for me to even argue with. thats just interference the radio is receiving.

  • this is so fuking retarded i dont even see shit

  • yes lightning can be over a billion volts. that's only a gigavolt. positive flashes can be several hundred gigavolts, and have even been measured close to a teravolt.

  • @jpar1980 wow. I didn't know THAT Fact. it is something i will remember in my extensive kowledge of lightning

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yuyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Thats not an EMP, its a porchlight from a house. It's there in the daytime in the whole video.

  • IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZUR!!

  • THANK YOU BENJAMIN FRANKLIN!

If the pole thingy wasn't invented...o.o

  • @MegaYallow called a lightning rod, dimwit

  • @awesomelightning No need to be so cranky, man. Oh, and it's spelled knowledge, dimwit.

  • @awesomelightning Jeez, guy. Don't go around calling people names like that. Overreacting about my forgetting is nothing to get angry over o.o

  • Lightning can only be up to a billion volts. Correct me with proof if I am wrong.

  • the music is somewhat disturbing

  • holy fucking shit that was close

  • IMA FIREN MAH LAZER

    at 0:22

  • asshloe

  • I rember when i was sleeping and i woke up due to a blot of lighting that hit a tree in my front yard,it is like a flashbang that scears tha hell outs ya

  • what ever happened to the original of this? cant find it anywhere

  • If you type in this you will find it. Recorded by me. Have fun.........LIGHTNING STRIKE UP CLOSE THAT COULD HAVE KILLED ME

  • hey thanks. there are a lot of videos i watched before that i cant seem to find on here anymore.

  • Wow that's very close, I wish this would have been with sound at the regular speed.

Say *off topic* can you tell me what song this is, I want to buy it if that is possible.

  • Go Here and you can, I recorded it.

LIGHTNING STRIKE UP CLOSE THAT COULD HAVE KILLED ME

  • Why won't you have sex with lightning? GRR..

  • That is so trippy!

  • its just killing the house

  • i'd like to meet the mo fo that can take 20 amps and stand up again or do anything again actually, 1/6 of an amp across the heart is plenty enough to kill. the reason some people survive strikes? lightning takes the quickest path down, usually "over" wet skin or wet clothes but sometimes it gets lucky...

  • You're forgetting voltage- both voltage AND amps are very important.

  • very cool. lightning seems to hit close to me on a regular basis. I think someones trying to tell me something! LOL.

    Peace to ya!

  • whats the name of the song ?

  • the music made me shit myself

  • amperage is what kills people, voltage under 50 maybe 70 will do nothing to you, but don't try it, even if you're healthy and know how to try it

  • the music to this is funny lol

  • it depends on the amps, its the amps that kill u, 50 voltson its own with no amps, u would hardly feel it, y dnt u type it in google n find out.. 50 volts with 20 amps would kill some1 with a weak hart.

  • Do you know Ohm's law? Find out what happens when you don't change your resistance.

Exactly, Voltage and amperage are perpendicular (correct word?)

  • 20 amps will kill someone with a weak heart?

0.7 amps will kill most people.

  • damn you would give a whole new meaning to B-B-Q

  • if a human being dies from 50 volts then imagine what the state of him would be at 200,000,000 volts...

  • 50 volts dunt kill human u idiot.. wunt kill a dog..

  • ok then mr smartass...

what kills a human if 50 volts don't...

i'll tell u about my source of info after U tell me more about "what-kills-a-human-if-50v-don't"...

    waaaitin mr smartass

  • with what program U did it to be so slow??

  • Final Cut; first: export frame by frame, then I used a color corrector filter, and finally, I stabilized each frame.

  • edited by JTG...lol

  • If you hear thunder you are always close enough to be strucked by lighting no matter if you see it are not. Anyone care to be bar-b-q.LOL!!!!!! Then stay inside during this time. My tree did'nt.HA,HA .God bless &take care:)

  • Man... I wish I could travel at 186,000 miles per second.

  • you can

    just go snort some coke

  • Haha. No thanks, I'm good.

  • oh eat some hot beans you'll travel at 200,000 mps

  • good one :)

  • @Ironman374 actually, lightning travels about 3 times slower. 60,000mph.

  • @awesomelightning doesent matter how fast it travels...

thats millions of volts there... it is deadly

  • @Ironman374 Why not just 186,001 mps? YOU CAN BE FASTER!

  • this video is messed

  • Actually the EMP doesn't occur before the strike. It occurs at the EXACT moment the strike happens, when current JUST FIRST begins to flow. Please get your facts straight.

  • Referring to your term "electromagnetic pulse" at 0:20. What you are seeing is a "streamer"...the main bolt called the "step-leader" meets with one of many possible streamers and completes the "return stroke" upon contact.

...although "electromagnetic pulse" does sound impressive, you need to do some research on your terminology.

    P.S. Cool vid

  • odds of this being captured this close is about 600,000,000 to 1

  • dude should play the lottery, foreal

  • whats the music in this video ??

  • Very well done my friend. What are the odds you caught this on camera

  • frame 4 lol

  • hay wow i ne0r nu that there was lights that made magnetic waves with lasers thats pro

  • what?? it affects the recording video :-O

  • Yeah,

All electrical components are affected by they elektro-mechnetic pulses of thunder

  • Basically, magnetic fields and electricity can't be found without each other. The magnetic field travels faster than photons. If you don't know what photons are, Google it. (No offense to cocky bitches who will have a problem for reading this.) So the electric field throws off the small charges in the camera = picture distortion. Nice job on the visual explanation Borregocem.

  • those are big words

  • Did you use vision lab studio's?

  • Electromagnetic pulse before the lightning?

  • dude u have to tell me how u edit that video

  • electro magnetick pulse = EMP

  • Moral of the story? Do not fuck with Thor.

  • that is realy good

  • umm cool i guess

  • awesome vid. but volts don't measure power, they measure force.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, like the creepy music. Don't mean to be an a-hole...but ur mistaken sublime..volts dont measure force..they measure potential difference in units of joules(energy) per coulomb(charge).

  • you're not an a-hole. you just wanted to show your vast knowledge of electricity. that's cool man, and you are right, but you know goddamn well the volt is a unit of measure for EMF. (Keyword FORCE) I just kept it in it's most basic form so as not to appear like a know it all. did you know a joule is the amount of energy equal to 0.737 foot-pounds? Or that the coulomb is equal to the total charge possessed by 6.25 X 10^18 electrons? When you left that comment I was pulling an IG circuit at work.

  • on 00:23 its true that lightning comes from the ground

    Amazing^_^

  • Your analysis is very accurate but you fail to realize that 700 miliseconds is 7 seconds

  • your retarded, 700 milliseconds is 0.7 seconds 7 seconds is 7000 milliseconds. hopefully your in grade 6 or under, cause if your not you should be worrying. it's a simple conversion

oh and you also spelled milliseconds wrong.

  • LOL! What are you a teacher. I don't get the whole grammer police thing on youtube. It seems to every second comment on any video is someone correcting someones grammer. So what im trying to say is shut your mouth and keep your comments to yourself if thats all your going to do you fag.

  • I love how you skipped right over the fact that you thought 700 milliseconds is 7 seconds. And no I'm not a teacher, I'm just not an idiot like you. I'm not saying that your stupid if you don't know how many milliseconds are in 7 seconds. your stupid if you don't know how many milliseconds are in 7 seconds and then post that fact across the world wide fucking web.Spelling a word wrong isn't a grammatical mistake, it's a spelling mistake. You spelt grammar wrong. that "e" is supposed to be an "a"

  • Pretty amazing analysis.

  • oehh i dont wana get struck by that

  • me and my football team got very close to getting struck by lightning. we were training and 20 yards infront of our group a massive blot strucking leaving a circle of smoldeering grass. very scary

  • and boom goes the dynamite

  • epic win LOL

  • never "epic win" yourself. That is for other people to do for you, proving how much of a badass you are. when you do it to yourself, you just look arrogant.

  • But I AM arrogant.

  • well good for you

  • Look at this pack of fags, which rock did you crawl out of? Recent join of /b/, let me guess?

  • no, EPIC FAIL FOR YOU. ;D

  • ouch, pathetic insult, the winky face ruined it even more.

  • In no way was that in insult, it was the truth. -.-

  • Whether or not a statement is truthful has no effect on whether it was meant as an insult. In fact, people almost always base insults on what they believe is the truth, as it doesn't make sense to insult someone with a statement that is totally inaccurate. It was an attempted insult, and you failed.

  • damn that was strong

  • Boom goes the dynamite!

  • then go to A LIGHTNING STRIKE SO CLOSE,IT ALMOST KILLED ME!!

    in the related videos box

  • What about seeing it in real time?

  • Check out my profile to see a close lightning shot in a few of my videos. Look at the second video under my video playlist - you'll actually see the electromagnetic pulse at the end if you pause it at around 1:29.

This was a really nice video! 5/5

    ~Trav.~

  • fuckin epic

  • in a milisecond is a sunrise

  • Its actually 1.21 jiga watts bacause marty mcfly told one day.

  • that wasn't lightning!....that was Chuck Norris!!!!

  • haha

  • great vid glad your still with us , had a near one my self .....will be a little more carefull next time ,durining the storm the storm there were 3000 strikes in 2 hours.

  • That is one hell of a emp pulse ,I hope his CC & debt cards still work !

  • That wasn't a lighting strike, that was Goku killing a bird from his rooftop with a kamehameha.

    Yeah, he's weird like that...

  • lol that made me laugh.

  • ROFL

  • Raducal...Tell me about the torus rings?

  • did you know lightning actually comes from the ground

  • @peskyppaul.

omg... deliberate missinterpretation. the elctricity in lightning "comes" from the ground... the electrons is up in the air, and those move downwards..you can SEE it of you watch any lightning caught on tape. however, electricity was defined as the OPPOSIT way the electrons move, thus the electricity in lightnings "comes" from the ground. but the lightning itselfs comes from the clouds and go down to earth. understand?

  • Wow a few frames before the lightning appears it actually looks like it's been shot during the day...

  • YEah amazing

  • the same as a nuke. by all the energy all atoms are exploding. that is why it is 200 milll volt

  • scary music... name please

  • music name please

  • whati is the name of the music?

  • 200 million volts?!?!?!? FUCK!!!!!!

  • wow....

  • The information at the end is incorrect. Power is energy over time, expressed in Watts (W) (1 joule / second). Volts are a completely different thing. A volt is one joule of energy per coulomb of electrons (a coulomb is simply a numerical value).

  • which means...?

  • Well, he expressed power as volts. Power is watts.

I was simply pointing out his error.

  • got it.

    thanks!

  • isn't the coulomb the value of the charge of a particle? and a volt is the difference in potential energy between 2 object. The watt part is correct. I think you are thinking about the abogadro number(6.023x10^23)

  • Avogadro's number has nothing to do with it. 6.0233e23 is the number of atoms in a liter of gas at 0 degrees C and 1 atmosphere of pressure.

A coulomb is indeed a unit of charge, but it is the charge transported by a current of 1 ampere in 1 second. Voltage, consequently, is the amount of energy contained in 1 coulomb of electrons moving through a magnetic field. The elementary charge (charge of 1 electron/proton) is what you're thinking of, which is 1.6021e-19 coulombs.

  • congrats!!! great shot you got there

  • :O did u fail english!?!?!?!?!!?? lol sorry juss something i HAD to ask ll yeah that was

    'very closer' lol

  • wow did anyone get hurt

  • look at the streamers! great editing!

  • sweeeet :)
