@ilovealexjones1 I do think you have a very immature and unrealistic view of the situation. You seem to think that the senseless slaughter of the unarmed islanders would have been some huge symbolic gesture of defiance despite that fact that it would have ultimately achieved nothing other than the deaths of 1000s of people in the face of well armed German troops.
