go in the CS console and write

net_graph 1

I guess he doesnt know how to bring up the console in counter strike hit the "tilde" key on your keyboard and it brings up the command console for the game. Then type cl_showfps 1 or the other commands.

The EEE 900 has the intel GMA 900 and the EEE 901 has the GMA 950........they say you get slightly better performance from the GMA 950 in the EEE 901....they did a pc mark 05 test....its in youtube somewhere, from the look of it, the 901 looks a good choice but the asking price is ridiculous. I liked the EEE until Acer Aspire One popped out which is my new choice.

To read the number of FPS, open the console on the game (²) and type the command :

net_graph 3

The number of FPS will show in bottom right.

I don't know how to read the FPS,

For the Eee PC , I just installed the win XP pro on the linus version and updated to SP3.

There is bo overclocking, play over WiFi and run as my desktop PC. The play is very smooth, not lagging.

Try installing program FRAPS to get fps.

+ which screen resolution; is this with full/med/low details?

fraps use more of the pc..

it actually slows down the fps,

write in cs-console instead :

net_graph 1

Just type net_graph 1 in console then you get net and fps statistic.If you want remove this type net_graph 0 (also try net_graph 3)

If you sir, read his earlier comment you would find the answer for your question. He says that there are no overclocking. THis pc has 900 mhz and thats all it takes to run CS 1.6 so no need. The 700's need overclocking becuase they are 700 i believe
