They rarely do. Don't forget, a comic will last about ten minutes at most, a film has got to go for about 2 hours. They have to change some bits just to stretch it all out. However I love the fact in all marvel films (expect x-men) stan lee makes an appearence, lol

I saw this film today and it was pretty good. The surfer moments were awsome and they let out a tiny bit of his backstory which was nice. The most we see of Galactus is a faint sillohete on Saturn and a large menacing cloud engulfing the earth. The FF stuf was ok I guess but everyone should go to see SS, he's superb and makes this a great film.

in the future (as written in Marvel comics) the fantastic four will have a new member,another human torch. she is Frankie raye and also Johny's girlfriend. when Galactus later attacks earth again, she sacrifices herself to be his herald so that earth will be spared from him.

Technically, that was supposed to happen the first time around. Galactus isn't supposed to come back. I hope Nova and Torch don't get together, it would be so cheesy and predictable

frankie isnt johnys girlfriend, frankie apears on galactuses ship after he trys to consume earth the first time then as galactus leaves earth he makes frankie his new herald "Nova"

yeah, she has a special gene that allows her to find whatever she needs. That's why she was a much better herrald than surfer as she can easily find uninhabited, engery rich planets. Thats also how she appeared on Galactus' ship in the first place

His weakness isn't Galactus. If I remember correctly, surfer even saved Galactus' life once. Surfer's true weakness is his sense of guilt and empathy. The burden of guilt which he's forced to bear is so huge sometimes he simply can't stand it. Almost everyone in the galaxy hates him for his connection with Galactus. As Galactus put it, the power cosmic is now a brand which all will fear and hate

technically yeah, but that's only because their portion of the power cosmic stems and is sustained by Galactus. Surfer hardly sees his old boss anyway, they pretty much hate each other.

I think surfer is the best hero because:

1)His story does not involve radiation as the source of his powers like so many other Marvel heros (Hulk, Daredevil, Spiderman, Fantastic Four etc.)

2)His powers are the most formidable of any super hero

3)His story is origenal and not really cliche at all

4)His story is one of the most tragic and yet romantic within the Marvel universe. You just cant help feeling sorry for the guy and just want him to succeed and find Zhen Laa and Shal Abal again

Surfer? He is the herrald/scout of one of the greatest super entities the universe has ever known, Galactus. Galactus is immortal but needs to constantly replenish his energy reserves by sucking the energy out of planets that can sustain him. Wherever the Silver Surfer goes, Galactus is not far behind and Surfer has found Earth! SS Rocks so hard, he is the BEST marvel super hero. For more info, watch the cartoon series (the first episode is my favorite)
