@SamWiseGingy, The people of the South defended themselves against a Yankee/Federal invasion that killed 600,000 people. We wanted to go our separate way in peace - but the awful US Empire wouldn't let us. Thank goodness that all empires fall - and when this one does hopefully we'll be free again.

BTW, slavery was an American institution - it wasn't confined to the South. Do some more reading.

I believe all persons are of natural right free and equal. I believe no person can make another person their property under any circumstance.

South Carolina believed it was lawful for one person to make another person property. I am glad that any country or government so disposed is denied of power to exercise their will. I am most glad the views you defend are not the American view.

If you think slavery has any impact in white and BLACK southerners struggle to free our states you are completely mistaken. We are glad for the 13th amendment. It is a godsend. Using the fact that "america" not just the south had slavery 100's of years ago as some sort of bar from freedom and liberty is laughable.

What exactly does it take for a state to secede though? I know a few states already are nullifying federal laws.

I think that SC would do just fine even if no other Southern States seceded. We are twice the size of Switzerland, a population equal to Ireland, and a GDP greater than 2/3 of the nations of the world.

Before there was a Federal Government, or a Union of American States, some Southerners were well established, (as my ancestors were) and modern Southerners are descended from those early Southerners.

I am definitely for southern secession but I think that comments like this one are what turn people away from the cause. I am not against minorities, just as long as they Legally Immigrate, just like our ancestors did and they take on the pride of this homeland. Assimilate in other words. Sounds PC to me. I don't hate anybody but I have a right to exist and a right for my culture and people to as well. Whites are being targeted for replacement. Personally, I don't want to live in a Mexicanized South either or America either. They have their own country, as do we. No apologies necessary for that statement with me. Southrons, as natives of our land, should dictate immigration policy - not DC or La Raza.

The point I was trying to make was that for us to be independent of the Federal Government we have to work together to bring about the separation...then we can make our own policies as regarding immigration. But if we have a view of "Drive them out" people are going to compare us to the KKK and say that we're Racists. Let the South Rule Herself!

And when I say people will compare us, I mean they will not be swayed to our cause of the state governing herself not the federal government. They will not want to go along with a racist agenda (even though a lot of southerners are not racist) so the support for Independence will be low. But by the same token, we are a sovereign people and we have a right to stop this invasion and enact a borders/immigration policy that preserves our people and culture. Actually, we have that duty.

We are sovereign and we are a separate people but we cant do anything unless people are joined together to bring ourselves to a point where we can make our own Immigration policies and establish borders.

I think consolidating together is a first step towards this. It gives us numbers in a ceratin area to where we can perhaps get elected to local office. And it gives us a HQ of sorts of strong activist projects. OTF, I think your reasoning is pretty sound. Except, that on the issue of immigration, most Americans are with us. I think on that issue we could do much more even still in the empire.
