I've been a fan of her since the mid 90s and she WAS lipsyncing here.

Mariah has said many times that some days her voice is perfect the next it can be not so good. If she has been travelling it makes it more easy for her to lose a bit of strength in her voice. Plus she is notorious for it. I don't know why so many fans are on the bandwagon to defend her when it's more about Mariah just trying to be perfect instead of embarrassing herself on such a big vocal demanding song like this

Listen, I don’t mean embarrass you she actually did sing live. FACT: I was there, you were not. If you want to be scientific about it load up this version and the record version on different tabs and do a second by second comparison, assuming you don’t believe me. Engeering staff for TV stations do not always line up the vision with the backing track so there is sometimes a lag between what is seen and heard this often is perceived by some people as the artist lip syncing,

@gpmusicadmin usu. when people lip sync, it is from teh studio version, which this is def. not. people seem to hate Mariah, but why do they keep coming to her vids? must be something they secretly dig. for me, I luv her like no other. she is angelic in every way.

i've heard this song enough to know that her breaths and notes are in different places compared with this live performance...this was just very very good performance..not lip synced

@Vargo0071 mariah always sings live. what people calls "lipped" is a technique used only for lyrical singers... what u see is her lips moving but her voice is not forced in her throat, is like ahed voice. but people can not understand this because they can´t sing. I used this technique and everybody tells me I´m not singing live...
