or you could just do press the witness in xfactor into lv 3 super for less work and more damage. which is easier to confirm sine in turn about phoneix is invulnerable during press the witness and brought on screen via alpha conter for instant death. good stuff though. he doesnt have a lot of range but those normals are fast.

hi i was the one who did the combo in this video. it is very true that this combo is really strong, but phoenix is ultra weak pre turnabout mode. i do not think that this combo is THAT game breaking although it is absurdly strong. i have found a way to cover phoenix's weak offensiveness with a new team that i came up with. phoenix/tron/modok. the modok shield will give you another shield to rely on and especially when you dont have the maya shield anymore in trial mode.

@notbrianliu also, if you are already in trial mode, tron can dhc from any of her supers to the maya super and and instant objection to get an easy hit confirm for the objection. i do think that his press the witness assist in turnabout mode is stupid broken though, but the work that is needed to get to turnabout mode makes it kinda balanced

@kenjiharimaCU Phoenix is a pretty slow character with bad normals and requires to be in turnabout mode in order to do his level 3 and then once he does it he goes back to normal. Trying to gather evidence is harder than it looks especially against beam spammy characters like Sentinel, Magneto and Dr Doom. Trust me he is no where near as bad as Dark Phoenix in Vanilla MVC3 since she just has to have meter then die but Phoenix needs to work a bit in order to get his power up.

These combo's are very similar to some of Shuma's BnB's I used to use with the 4 meter, no x-factor no assist.

Wright seems fun but I bet he's a challenge to use at a pro level because of his terrible early game potential. I saw him get ripped to shreds in the Norcal vs Capcom tournament. In fairness though he's brand new so I'm sure people will figure out how to cover his weaknesses.

If you're by the wall you could combo off the objection move for like four repetitions then go to level three which would do the same if not more damage as using maja super. I'm pretty sure this should work. It's one more day before the game comes out in my region and I can test it :)

I think the most importat thing to be learnt from this is that Nick can put Objection in the middle of a combo off a 2A... People kept saying he was bad because he needed to find evidence, then they found easy ways to collect it. Then they said it's because he has a hard time landing the objection, and now this.

Every time there's something 'wrong' with him people find a fix for it within a day... He's looking really, really strong. Same with Frank.

ok so you do the beginning of htis combo up to the part with maya, relaunch and then instead of level 3 you do the gavel super, DHC into your next character. still uses 3 meters and will likely kill any character, but aftewards youre left with the best assist in marvel history in turnabout wright 'press the witness'

OBJECTION! I APPRECIATE the recorded misses! As a novice player practicing all he can, when I watch high-level players doing incredible combos, it gets discouraging, because they only ever show off the successes. It makes me feel like I'm "supposed" to be doing million damage combos perfectly 100% of the time. So seeing a video of this guy pulling off a massive combo while having to work at it is VERY encouraging! Also, it's five goddamn minutes, and I'm on YouTube, I have fucking time to waste.

Well, mvc3 is more of a casual FG and pretty random, so it's difficult to see. However, if you keep playing fighting games, you will notice the improvement over the years. Just keep at it. I recommend picking up a game like Garou or Super Turbo on ggpo.

I do play other fighting games though. MVC3 and SSFIV are the ones I can say I am, to some degree, good at. I've also been dabbling in BlazBlue and Arcana Heart 3, but since those fighters are a lot more technical, and just playing them in practice mode makes me feel awkward and inadequate. I try to play every fighter I learn about, but some of them just terrify me with how technical they are.
