This is what I hate about soap type shows..you invest in a couple then the writers decide to not only break the couple up but they also try and make you forget the last 2 yrs of the show by re-writing history...making Dylan and Brenda a thing of the past like it was nothing and making Kelly and Dylan the loving couple that he can't do without..
I got hooked on this show a little late. I'm on season 6 now, right after Dylan's wife Toni gets killed. It's such a good show! I only wish that Shannon would have stayed on it.
they so ended up together in my mind...I don't care about what the stupid writers wrote..they don't know what us fans know..they can't see how obvious it is that their connection is much deeper than what he had with Kelly. he and Kelly never really understood each other and they fought a lot even in their friendship..they had lust and they loved each other..but it was not a deep love. Kelly should have ended up with Brandon. it's so stupid. the writers messed up. we know the truth. :)

@fancy0face I agree. I think that over time, he and Kelly did love each other but it wasn't a "Great love" like you said..it was a friendship love mixed with lust. I think that he really loved his wife, Toni, but not as much as he loved Brenda. I think if Toni hadn't tragically died in front of him, that their relationship would not have lasted on it's own and he would have ended up back together with Brenda. but because he lost Toni in the way he did, he could never really recover from it.
@monitchka Yeah, I liked that Brenda got a message to Dylan before he got married...but still, he only had eyes for Toni that day. His relationship with Brenda was, as they once described, "too intense". I feel that YES they were Soulmates...who met too young. I think when Dylan met Toni, he saw what he could be with her and was prepared to once and for all, let go of his past with Brenda.
It is tragic that she died and Dylan once again, lost faith in himself, never again letting anyone close.
@iCarlys2s2 i totally agree dylan and kelly were way better together. When dylan left i didn't watch it. i only watch it with him and kelly and that's it. brenda alway was complicated and alway complained.

Brenda always was really spoiled, she always was the daddy little girl, and she doesn't know, and never will know what's the life. And that Kelly knows! Dylan and Kelly <3 THE PERFECT COUPLE! Dylan needs a mature girl, and he did in the end he stayed with KELLY!

this is off topic but i was watching fresh prince of bel air and calton and will totally love brenda and dylan....lol i think the episode is 4x08....they talked about dylan is on the verge of getting back together with brenda lol...and will is like really and they both giggles lol......even the writers of other shows loved brenda and dylan...writers f this couple up....who cares off-screen they always find their way back to each other anyway hehe

they were rumors about shannen dating both luke and jason..not in same time lol..jason did admit that he slept with shannen on some show and I think they dated like about a year ..and about shannen and luke dating they were some really strong rumors about them back then..but it wasn't really never confirmed.not suprised because both shannen and luke are really private about they private lifes..and it doesn't really suprise me ..luke and shannen have AMAZING chemistry.one of the best couples ever

I guess the show lost its sparkle when the Walshes left, it was like they were the heart of the series, honestly i only like seasons 1-3 , when the gang was in high school, after that everything chanced and i feel it wasn't the same, anyway is the best show from the 90's

The writers screwed this couple up from the start they broke them up because the censors went nuts about sex and no guilt. 90210 (in the beginning) always had a lesson in every episode. Brenda and Dylan had so much history though (that was shown unlike Kelly and the gradeschool thing with Dylan) Dylan wanted Brenda to be happy so he loved her enough to let her go, he wasn't selfish. He also wasn't sure if Brenda felt the same way, once he knew it mutual, well he takes he down to the floor :)
Awesome! Shannen Doherty's BOOB JOB is ENORMOUS!!! The show should have ended here on a happy ending- Dylan and Brenda back together. Instead they added on 6 more years of total SHIT! The show jumped-the-shark after Brenda fucked Dylan on the floor.
some people here seem to forget that Brenda and Dylan were reunited off-screen after Dylan left Beverly Hills, the only reason he ended up with kelly was because shannen doherty wouldn't return for the finale, it was always meant to be Dylan and Brenda in the end
Brenda and Dylan's relationship was so good! I love them both and I was really happy when at the en of 90210's season 6, it was announced that they were leaving together in London. The truth is that Shannen should've never left 90210 and Breand should be the one that got Dylan in the end, but ok, at least we had 4 amazing years of this carachters.
Even in the 4th season when she changed and was noticeably distant from the rest of the cast, she still shined brightest, maybe even brighter than before.
Though in the end Kelly and Dylan were together (sort of), I believe his heart will always belong to Brenda, and I'm so glad her last moment was spent with him.
I will never understand Dylans answer of Brendas declaration of love too. I`m a K/D fan, but Brendas words were so warmhearted and what is he doing? Why didn`t he answer you will be always a special person to me or sth. else. "I`ll applaud you from afar"... what a lame anwer!
i don't remember the whole storyline anymore, but what i've recently seen on youtube, perhaps he always loved her, he just couldn't be with her because eventually she'll break up with him again (for some absurd reason)... or just (how he mentioned once) "their love was to intense"

Jennie, Gabrielle and Ian apprently lobbied to get Shannen off the show and threw a party when she did, only luke, jason, tori and brian didnt go because they were friends with shannen at the time

This show sucked after Brenda left. Fans got left high and dry with no happy ending for a couple we had laughed with and cried with and loved for 4 years. Shannen deserved better and so did the B.H. 90210 fans.

well shannon doherty left the show and so that was the end for dylan and brenda, although i think somewhere later in the show it was mentioned that brenda and dylan were in europe together, but i am not too sure about that. well dylan came back to the show and eventually ended up with kelly.
Brenda and Dylan were together offscreen during Season 6, 7 & 8 thats 3 years together off screen. They were still together in the last episode of Season 8 and were gonna meet Kelly & Brandon on their honeymoon. This was all conveniently changed a few episodes later in Season 9 when Brandon left and Dylan returned stating he'd been seperated from Branda for over a year.
This was why 90210 become a joke, you cant just change history to suit yourself

Spoilers released last year indicated the continuation of the Dylan-Kelly storyline if Luke returned. Dylan and Kelly have been on and off for a number of years according to the spinoff. As Kelly told Ryan, the only guy she had been with since Sammy's birth was Dylan. They're connected for life and will likely reunite by the end.

He always wanted Brenda even though he married Toni.
Quincy 2007 i agree with you!! if you check out an AOL poll of top 20 couples, brenda & dylan are #19 (kel and dylan no where to be seen on the list!)The only thing that I agree with when it come to Kelly & Dylan fans is that, since they broke up the last time there weren't really any moments that made me think that dylan really wanted brenda back. I think there relationship was 10X better than kelly's but the writers really took out the chemistry between them.

The writers screwed this couple up from the start they broke them up because the censors went nuts about sex and no guilt. 90210 (in the beginning) always had a lesson in every episode. Brenda and Dylan had so much history though (that was shown unlike Kelly and the gradeschool thing with Dylan) Dylan wanted Brenda to be happy so he loved her enough to let her go, he wasn't selfish. He also wasn't sure if Brenda felt the same way, once he knew it mutual, well he takes he down to the floor :)

Even in the 4th season when she changed and was noticeably distant from the rest of the cast, she still shined brightest, maybe even brighter than before.
Though in the end Kelly and Dylan were together (sort of), I believe his heart will always belong to Brenda, and I'm so glad her last moment was spent with him.

Tthey (producers) just wanted to keep Brenda in the pic-and yea him and Brenda look great together right after he started going out with Kelly-that all his problems started with her for no reason-and Brenda was a friend at that point-it was just to keep Brenda there and keep you guessing but to me Kelly was less dramatic within the relationship than Brenda was-im not saying he doesnt love Brenda thats freakin obvious from begining to end-but even in the new show Kelly is grounded unlike Brenda

Dylan was ALWAYS messed up over Brenda, which is why he chose Kelly to begin with. Well she "won by default". Brenda dad wouldn't let her come to the party and Dylan was angry. Kelly showed up so he hooked up with her, and lied the biggest he ever has. "I always wanted you" Barf! Since when Dylan? Then last but not least. well shannon doherty left the show and so that was the end for dylan and brenda, although i think somewhere later in the show it was mentioned that brenda and dylan were in europe together, but i am not too sure about that. well dylan came back to the show and eventually ended up with kelly.

Brenda and Dylan were together offscreen during Season 6, 7 & 8 thats 3 years together off screen. They were still together in the last episode of Season 8 and were gonna meet Kelly & Brandon on their honeymoon. This was all conveniently changed a few episodes later in Season 9 when Brandon left and Dylan returned stating he'd been seperated from Branda for over a year.
This was why 90210 become a joke, you cant just change history to suit yourself

Spoilers released last year indicated the continuation of the Dylan-Kelly storyline if Luke returned. In any case, Dylan-Kelly have a son together, still have feelings for each other, and there's a possibility of a reconcilliation in the future. What do Dylan-Brenda have on the spinoff? To not let Brandon know how he really felt, so Dylan wouldn't hurt anymore in thinking that Brenda didn't want him any more, with her new life in London.

No, at the beginning of season 5, Dylan goes back to Beverly Hills and gets a message from Brandon letting him know that Brenda wouldn't come back because she got a full scholarship. Dylan was awfully pissed when he heard that message. Clearly, he still wants Brenda. And if he didn't, why did he go to London to reunite with Brenda? He always wanted Brenda even though he married Toni.

Quincy 2007 i agree with you!! if you check out an AOL poll of top 20 couples, brenda & dylan are #19 (kel and dylan no where to be seen on the list!)The only thing that I agree with when it come to Kelly & Dylan fans is that, since they broke up the last time there weren't really any moments that made me think that dylan really wanted brenda back. I think there relationship was 10X better than kelly's but the writers really took out the chemistry between them.

do you mean after brenda and dylan broke up for good? there are SO many moments when Dylan showed strong feelings for her but he was held back by a lot of things- his father's death, kelly, Suzanne and Erica, etc. But I think that was the point- to keep them apart but still show they were perfect for each other.

yes, when they broke up for good. The scene that I thought was the worst for us b/d fans was when she told him she loved him during a car ride home & he basically insinuates that he loves her as a friend. don't you think that was a telling scene?
