A Nazi bloodthirsty bastard who was "famous" for intentionally wounding soldiers and killing those who tried to rescue them.
But not the best as the Nazi propaganda says.
The best is M. Surkov - 702 c/d kills with a sniper rifle. But he killed many more Nazis, e. g. on 30/11/43 - 7 with PPSh and 3 gunners in a bunker with a knife.
F. Ohlopkov sniped over 450 Nazis and doubled the figure with a machine gun.
These Russian soldiers were the men of honor and never behaved like Hayha.
@Jospehporta Sure, slaughtering 15 million Russian women and children was an easy task and a brave German soldier could murder hundreds of them. Killing Russian soldiers appeared to be too dangerous and those German soldiers who were not killed in the process eventually preferred to surrender. Looks like Russians were too kind and left alive some of the Nazi hogs who littered such scum as you.
@Trinadtsatyi Actaully Stalin gave direct orders for the Soviet Army to be less harsh because he was afraid of what the Americans might think, if he let the Russian hordes loose. He already saw what they did in East Prussia, murdering and raping German women and children.
This can be easily seen how that trashy Soviet writer Ilya Ehrenburg was suppressed in the final years of the war.
@lMichix Believe you or not, clever boy, a Nazi is not necessarily a German (there were French, Dutch, Norvegian, etc. Nazis), and Finns fought on the Nazi side and had lots of Nazis and Nazi sympathizers in their army. Hayha was one of them. Not sure whether he was a dumbfuck as you claim.
My momsdad shot in Salla, Winter War, 39 communists at night in one row.... He told us later:.... "Men came... I shoot at them.... Three times barrel was red glowing... They were calm men (enemies...)". He was not proud of this. Just did what he had to do...... :s
I have actually cleaned Simo Häyhäs rifle. It was like and religious ceremony for me. My hand trembled in respect for this man and that I held and cleaned his rifle.
it is pretty yesy to spot grey from the white snow like you said, but remember that this record was done in 105 days, which was the Winter war long...
@hewhowandersthevoid yes your correct. Unfortunately for you and this striaght shooting Fin my slingshot is accurate to well over a 3rd of a mile and thus while he was sighting me in his scope he would feel my rock travel threw it into his brain. Then i would carve his body open like in the star wars movie and sleep inside him for warmth. The following day i would eat some of him, pack the rest and follow his tracks back from where he had came and one by one kill all his teamates.
@derpotni3riots Missing half of your dumb juvenile head in 2 minutes of your imaginary sneaking in Häyhä´s territory would have made that unlikely. "Sling shot" eh? Muahaha. Back in bed with your mommy, kid. It´s "could have" also, not "could of".
@Rethgore Well you are mistaken, it is known now and acknowledged by the Finish goverment the numbers where indeed exaggerated..Finland needed a hero during the tuff times of WW2..thats all it was propaganda...not saying he wasn't brave but do a little research and you will see it was infact 50-75 at the most..and some say those numbers are a bit high..
@MrSpadeofAce m39 rifle sights are adjustable to 1000m dont believe that anyone could hit that far but 400-500m in open area with alot of luck could actually hit
@BigRooster747 I love your logic man. The sun always rises and never goes down. The sun anyways is in Finland very south during the winter and ofcourse there is always sunset. (50% of the time the sun shines from the west).
And who said the sun was the only source of light in those dark battlefields covered by snow.
you know that on that time of the year, there is only couple hours of daylight at that part of Finland. Then its darkness... Does not matter much if Sun rises from east. Not at the winter time of year.
There was some info that, he did kill some Soviet sniper from about 450m , which is very far for just Iron Sights. Thats the longest shot which is recorded for him.
@MrSpadeofAce On a higher position shooting towards enemies walking on a frozen lake, it's doable, but extremely difficult. He had been a hunter all his life so he knew his rifle well.

People underestimate how good Arctic countries are at fighting. Russia has deafeated Napoleon and Hitler, Finland defeated the Red Army, I mean, Canada has a very high quality military as well as every person in the Northern part hunts for money and food.
@GrrrIamMad It one of the hardest spots in the world to fight. You are slower moving, vehicles get stuck, it's freezing cold, there's hardly any food, and you have to ski.
In fact, they ARE the toughest spots to fight. There's a reason the Soviets sent people to Siberia.
Everyone knows the "one shot one kill" sniper knows "your second shot from the same position and you will be killed." But it seems like Simo Hayha worked like a machine gun!
I will repeat again that he was lucky he was not in Russia, 42-45 such "machine guner" there never lived a long time, not more than a week, I would say his first day would be his last.
@Raydaks 42-45 Russia was a joke of a country worshiping fairy tail stories of communism while handing farmers rifles and telling them to head into battle against the far militarily superior individuals of the Nazi war machine.
The Red Army did not have snipers in 39, professional snipers were part of the army just after the Winter War, having learned the lessons of this war.
In the USSR 39-40 year snipers were only in the NKVD(KGB), could one of them deprived by a bullet half of S Haiho jaw if you insist on "he was hunted by counter sniper, then by a squad of counter snipers". Honestly I can not imagine how can kill so many people for 3 months of the Arctic Circle winter where the days are so short.
And raydaks is posting that same message to all Häyhä related pages. Id say it has something to do with attempt to cause annoyance, or just slandering of a jealous man. Snipers act according the enviroment they work. Postings like this are like spitting on the memory of great warheroes.
Simo was simply a good shooter and not a real sniper, if he would be in Stalingrad, or just on the Eastern front, he would have died within a week or sooner.
He just killed the freezing russian soldier from a distance, and never fought against snipers, never met in anti sniper action aces as a Zaicev, Surkov or Pavlyuchenko
@Raydaks he was at the eastern front retard.. the winter war was a part of the western front. plus he faced thousands and thousands of russians, in extremely cold weather, and he didn't even use a scope. so anybody who says that häyhä wasn't the best sniper in human history, is a retard.
Several years after the war the russian "heroes" sneaked over the border and shot civilians mostly women with children... If someone say this is bullshit I have firsthand information and there where a bounty on their heads... Fucking cowards...
Ok ok ok, carlos was a very skilled marksman and deserves highest regards, he killed a bunch of communists and we love him.
Simo killed 705 russians. I fucking hate russians. They are both communist, and russian. I bet they walked over a ridge in a straight line and he was able to kill them two at a time for several hours straight before they decided to get back to camp and have stinky russian sex with each other while drunk.
Simo is the best ever created. with over 500kills (my sources) during 100days nothing else can be said. Simo is way better then carlos, Simo used iron sights shooting the enemies relatively near. But it's not they way he shot that was amazing, it's how he managed to survive the near enemy when killing over 500 of them. That's what sniping's about, not only being a good sharpshooter. (not saying Carlos is a bad shooter, just not as good at being sniper as Simo)
@TheEmericano , oh on that picture? soviet shot exploding bullet at hes face, he was finnish, and fought for freedom in winter war i know kinda much about him because i am from finland.
@TheZagunator Can I ask how you take an exploding round to the face without dying? You realize explosive rounds are made to penetrate armor? I'm not saying you're factually wrong, I was just curious because it's such a rarity.
@thecrowandthehawk Not all explosive rounds are made to penterate armor. When i was hunting with my dad when i was a kid (10-15 years ago) he used explosive rounds when hunting a bear and raindeer. They were later banned from use, but they were not armor rounds, they were for hunting.
@TheEmericano And it was a exploding bullet, he lost half of his face and went coma, woke up about 5 days later in hospital when war was over and Russians had decided to retreat.
@lintu25 Fuck you talking about, buddy? Carlos Hathcock was a badass in his own. He may only have 93 confirmed, but he fucking shot another sniper through his scope and into his eye at freakin 900+ yards. I'd say Simo is a fucking badass, maybe more so than Carlos, but don't EVER call Carlos shit again, because he is a fucking badass in history, and always will be.
shit man you must be a marksman in real life or something, you know heaps about this stuff, all those variables... must have been through military sniper training to know all that stuff... WOW
i love the song about him. you know, from sabaton the song white death

People underestimate how good Arctic countries are at fighting. Russia has deafeated Napoleon and Hitler, Finland defeated the Red Army, I mean, Canada has a very high quality military as well as every person in the Northern part hunts for money and food.
GrrrIamMad 6 months ago

Raydaks 6 months ago

Raydaks 6 months ago
And raydaks is posting that same message to all Häyhä related pages. Id say it has something to do with attempt to cause annoyance, or just slandering of a jealous man. Snipers act according the enviroment they work. Postings like this are like spitting on the memory of great warheroes.
Helzagore 6 months ago
Simo was simply a good shooter and not a real sniper, if he would be in Stalingrad, or just on the Eastern front, he would have died within a week or sooner.
He just killed the freezing russian soldier from a distance, and never fought against snipers, never met in anti sniper action aces as a Zaicev, Surkov or Pavlyuchenko
Raydaks 6 months ago
@Raydaks he was at the eastern front retard.. the winter war was a part of the western front. plus he faced thousands and thousands of russians, in extremely cold weather, and he didn't even use a scope. so anybody who says that häyhä wasn't the best sniper in human history, is a retard.

Several years after the war the russian "heroes" sneaked over the border and shot civilians mostly women with children... If someone say this is bullshit I have firsthand information and there where a bounty on their heads... Fucking cowards...
mrvezell 6 months ago
Ok ok ok, carlos was a very skilled marksman and deserves highest regards, he killed a bunch of communists and we love him.
Simo killed 705 russians. I fucking hate russians. They are both communist, and russian. I bet they walked over a ridge in a straight line and he was able to kill them two at a time for several hours straight before they decided to get back to camp and have stinky russian sex with each other while drunk.
Long live geurilla warfare.

TheZagunator 7 months ago
@TheZagunator Can I ask how you take an exploding round to the face without dying? You realize explosive rounds are made to penetrate armor? I'm not saying you're factually wrong, I was just curious because it's such a rarity.
thecrowandthehawk 6 months ago
@thecrowandthehawk , whatever i dont know much about explosive rounds but thats what happened, it is told in history books...
TheZagunator 6 months ago
@thecrowandthehawk Not all explosive rounds are made to penterate armor. When i was hunting with my dad when i was a kid (10-15 years ago) he used explosive rounds when hunting a bear and raindeer. They were later banned from use, but they were not armor rounds, they were for hunting.
