i have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old GM Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
Nice, u ever heard of in Italy before they brought the e37 they dynoed a 265 hemi for 24 hours straight for testing. After it was done the manifold or extractors not shore, where glowing white hot.
mate nice weber set up... webers are goin for 2.7k i rekon ill just strap a 650 double pumper onto mine... have u shuved it in a car and dragged it? and whats the hp output?
John, thats a very very sexy sounding motor, would like to know wat 1/4 mile times would be- or an est? i did build a awesome naturally aspirated 265, maybe we could get in touch and discuss ideas and other alternatives.
fark its still good as especially for a daily driver, ive got a vh charger with a mild 265, not pulling that kinda power out tho, one day i wish to turbo it and pull around 450+ hp, i just love the hemi's. cheers mate, look after it ;p
I think my chances of that have probably gone with the current pricing. Although whacking on a set of webers isn't out of the question so could still technically convert her to a 6pack!, what else is new mate?
Nice! Love the howl of the 265 hemi 6 packs. Very quick cars!

How hard do those hemi's rev up to?
Brockie777 2 years ago
a stokie will strugle at 5000rpm, a decent build is good for 6-6500 and some people have them going to 8000plus rpm
