Hey man to each their own but the MRP-500 is far from awful... I ran a FI SSD 15" on a MRP-450 which is less power and older and it banged, check my older videos. of it on 400rms and you'll change your mind real quick about that amplifier, imo get new subwoofer they're junk.

@JBlNN yea it bangs man the subs sound great, but those 2 subs are 1200 watts a piece 400 rms that amp is running 2, they are very underpowered that amp has already blown out 2 of those subs I dont like playing them at full capacity because I just dont trust how its set up. Im changing it soon I just need the money and time. I plan on hooking that amp to my interior speakers and getting a 1000 watt or so to do the subs.

Few things... Make your trunk ported and your box ported. I'd also suggest getting another subwoofers as that amplifier is way more than enough to run two of those.

@LowRida5 am is 500 watts at 2 ohms you have a single 4 ohm sub on it so the sub is getting roughly 300 watts. probably a hair bit less.

@tonyrich78 stock alt stock batt stock wiring 4 ohm load 13.8 volts this amp will peak around 300..i own the same amp...prolly gettin between 200-250 rms 4 ohm.

Bass EQ- 6db/12db

LP Filter- 100/200 hz

that is what I have it at now and what I recommend, the sub in that video blew out about a week after that video was made because when i had it installed the Bass EQ was set at 12db/12db it was way too much and the sub was smoking since it was still new. I had it taken out and swapped for a new one and i turned the decibles down and its been fine since,

also I have a mono channel amp and one sub so if you want to power 2 subs your settings will be a little different and you will have to have more than one channel so you will need a more powerful amp to work 2 subs,

i really wanted 2 i almost got them both but it would of ran me alot more, I did it at best buy because i didnt want to deal with shipping. Some day though that trunk will have 2 subs lol just give me time hahaha

well my rear speakers are sony xplods and I love them they have excellent bass, before I got that sub those kicked out some intense bass, and i wanted front speakers to match that and I found some that did but not in 5 1/4 inch So I have the Alpines up front which I don't like that much at all

that sounds pretty tight, i wanted to get 6.5" sony xplodes in my front doors but i have to look into it more because they wont fit, I want to see if I can get a harness for them
