Try and really exaggurate your loud hits, like bring them up higher and hit fairly hard, and then because of the speed, the following hits come out softer, because its hard to hit huge and accented every single hit. I mean, I basically just did a lot of practice of that. But yeah, everytime I have a hard time getting an accent out, I just really over exaggurate the hit and it seems to sound closer to what I want. Hope that helps!

Just a question though, with your hi-hat, how do you do that loud-soft-loud-soft sound? Because when I try and do it at that speed it's all just the same loudness.
