All rules in the game were fine bar random, you always got jipped. Thank god for the RNG alowing you to pick whatever rules you wanted for any region, was a real life saver in that game.

The best Tetra master was the version on PlayOnline because you could play it against other people. I played that so much that i became one of the best and had all the best cards and i actively participated in the epic tournaments which pitted all of the best players against eachother, it was just so epic. Even players who were not playing would come to spectate the games and share friendly conversation, it was just a wonderful experience. To bad that it no longer exists.

@Residentevil31313 very simple. You have a card with 4 numbers or the letter A. I play a card on the center. You play a card under mine. Your top number and my bottom number 'battle' persay Say my bottom number is 8 and your top number is a 9 or A. You beat that card and it gets flipped. The object of the game is to flip more cards than the oppenent. Using some of the rules in the card game can flip more cards and such or use elements to boost all the numbers on a card up by 1 number.

the numbers only range from 1-9 and theres only one letter, A. The elements can only work if you play a card on a spot that has element symbols on the mat. So if I have an electric type card and put it on an electric element spot, all the numbers go up 1. 8 to 9, 9 to A etc. Using these strategies can help you win. And when you get better, rules will either help you or hinder you. Like the random rule. you start a game with 5 random cards from your list and my favorite. Winner take all.

I knew only one way to get around a Random rule: sell/discard all crap cards (lvl 1-5) and leave all the rare/special/powerful cards in, then get lots of high levelled cards to decrease the chance of crap cards getting chosen in a card game... then again, there was always the reset button...

@DanTheMan8819 I thought Same and Plus weren't too bad actually, it just depended which cards you used. If you used character cards which at least 1 A side then the game has a really hard time using plus against due to the high value but you're free to use it against the computer. Similar to same.

I only really hated it when you had a poor deck or had the random rule forced down your throat.

Whenever I played the game with the purpose just to play cards, I walked around, searched for match opponents and whenever the ruleset said: "random" I just turned the console off and restarted from the last save, drawing a list which char's had them from the very beginning.

There was one thing worse than Random and that was .... Direct. Both together was like the card game from hell. One chooses random cards (most of them from your deck were mediocre or worse) and the Direct rule gave away your best card to the opponent just because they unfortunately managed to turn it, even if it was the only card they turned! Very frustrating indeed.

Same and Plus were also a pain in the ass but they ultimately allow you to beat the computer at its own game.
