the pair you found was quite nice :3 i remember finding an antler myself when I was 7. it had 4 points on each side each at least 3 inches long. Didnt know about sheds back then so found the first and ran off with it. My dad threw it away 4 weeks later >.< and your buck's pic is very nice!

hmm ok asshole listen the buck was most likely taken legally then skinned an everything was taken from him an then they took the antlers an got rid of the carcass. every hunter tosses the remains after the butcher it. oh an the scull is at least 5 years old cause there aint no way in just on year all the skin an hair an brain matter is gone. get your facts straight

if it was poached just for the antlers, you would have found a whole body. I know my wife won't let me put a deer head up on the wall, but a set of antlers would be good to go. I think people are looking into it too much.

It was prob a legal kill and they threw the head and hide in the ditch and some 'cote, bobcat, wolf, mountian lion, whatever you have there moved it. I've seen it happen. I set a skull out and a 'cote took it (or atleast something did).

He certainly was a beautiful deer, it's too bad that someone killed him. The part that irritates me is that they just threw his head into the swamp. You'd think they'd have some respect, yeesh.

Well, it was either poached (which seems likely based on how the skull was discarded on the spot minus the antlers) or it was killed legally but the hunter only gave a crap about the meat and the antlers and thusly tossed the skull after it was mutilated and no longer useful for any other purpose in this case.
