my msr sometimes does that. i think it is either the flight battery but i am thinking alond the lines of the tx batteries really. mine would just cut out and start spining around on the floor but as soon as i took the tx near it it was fine. So i would put some new tx battereis in first, then go for new flight batteries
the battery might be old have you stored it for a long time? if so you need to cycle it or get some new lipo's, idk my mcx is made half of glue now so i'm not a good guy for mcx advice xD
My dad's MSR has the same problem, he's only had it for a few days, though. Try calling Horizon Hobby, if not, either get a 5-in-1 or an mcx2 or better yet msr. Good luck!
