@TheBoosh148 and fuck you for making a retarded ass remark about the greatest team in baseball when this has nothing to do with the game. what are you a red sox fan? Don't be jealous cause the yankees organization has the money AND the talent to do whatever they want.
Bernies desire to play will never die. He showed it back home in PR n if it wasnt for his age hed still be playing in that MLB uniform. Respect to Williams for the love of the game
like millions of fans i remember when he came up in the early 90's wearing his glasses. there was a game in May '93 (i think it was 93) when he was playing shallow center in the ninth. he misread a fly ball and it got over his head; it ended up costing them the game. during the press conference after the game he was crying; apologizing to his teammates and fans. He cared that much about a game in May. you gotta respect that love.
how do you despise him as a yankee??? ok its one thing to hate the yankees, but bernie was a great player, and never really did anything wrong. ps, yah its so cool how he's aweome at guitar. Go Yankees!!
I despised him only in a baseball sense (same goes for anyone currently on the Yankees roster). But, outside of baseball, he seems like a standup guy.
Not at all. The series isn't over yet. Last time I checked it was a seven game series. Vladdy has played like shit this entire series too. I hope Mike doesn't start him in the four spot. He has no business being there.
thats true they lost in the division series twice to the angels. But then again this is a different team. I really dont mind looking back to the past seeing how the yankees have won 26 world series. Most all time. But regardless the angels have played sloppy baseball. 3 errors on game one...and they didnt count the incident in short stop with ayabar. and i belive 2 yesterday? Yeah, and Vlad left 8 runner on base?
Yeah, both teams played like crap. Yanks had 3 errors, ground into 3 double plays and left 12 runners on base. But that doesn't matter because everyone loves the Yankees. Even though we lost, I enjoyed last nights game and can't wait for game 3.
same i liked it. i was knocked out by the 13th inning though. It was just a pitching game rather than a high scoring game. I was not expecting cano to make 2 errors and jeter to lose that ball. Its not like them, they're ussually gold glove calibur in fielders
does anyone have the tabs for this version? i have been playing lead over it on itunes, but i can't find the tabs to play the actual part that he plays, it's so good.
Never really cared for the YANKEES, but Bernie Williams really was a great Ballplayer, and one I respect greatly. He's obviously a pretty decent mucisian as well.
That is really nice, Bernie. I was aware that you played guitar, but never realized how smooth, sophisticated and just right your playing is. Just the way you were as a ballplayer. Great Stuff.
Wonderful rendition of a classic song. The deep emotion Mr. Williams feels for the game of Baseball is wonderfully conveyed.
Bernie Williams was a great player and is a great person. They adore him in New York - I remember seeing a few games in the old Yankees Stadium when he was playing, he was ADORED by the fans there, and for good reason.
Beautiful chord voicings, lovely arrangement. Bernie is one of the classiest sports figures ever. It's a crime that his number isn't on the wall at the new stadium along with 3, 4, 8, 15, 23 and all the rest of the greats. 51 Forever!
I am a diehard mets fan, but it is hard to have a hatred for that late 90's yankees dynasty, it was a group of class acts and guys who loved the game of baseball
even as a red sox fan, bernie is a classy guy,and the yankees threw him under the bus. nice to see his music career going well, would love to see a comeback
Has anyone seen the clip of #51 playing this in center field last October? I think it was a promotional thing or something. Read about it in the Yankee Stadium book that just came out.
I heard that Bernie is trying to make a comeback to MLB, but he hasn't said if he'll play for a team other than the Yankees. He really is a true Yankee, and that's why he didn't take that minor league contract after 2006, he's too much of a Yankee.
Nobody could not like Bernie, he's a great person.
Right on! A NO feild, no run, no throw .260 hitter! How'd big floppi do after Manny got traded? Oh yeah, he got 'hurt'. Imagine that he doesn't play the feild AT ALL, doesn't throw AT ALL, can't run and can't hit without a good hitter behind him and he got 'hurt' he's nothing but a HALF player. sux fans are about to see just how Big Manny was to them.
Hoowa!! He looked pretty good on the field in his two World Series victories, didn't he? Wouldn't you like a few more Bernies and Paul O'Neil's nowadays?? Sorry sucka!!
Uh, he, uh didn't play the field in the away games. How many WS games did Bernie play in again? Ah, so easy to goad simplistic sux fans! Yankee fans eaily make you losers agonize even when you win. Two wins in 90 years and you gloat! Doesn't take much, eh?
It looks more like CA's larger bodied GXi to me. For one, his arm is resting on the body. Secondly, when he turns his leg you can see the body looks deeper than the thin line would if held the same way. Though, if I had the money I'd own both right now.
Thanks for everything Bernie. You were a great baseball player and a true Yankee. Thanks for the memories Bernie. Hope #51 is the next number to go up in Monument Park.
I always hated the yankees I still do, Im a huge cubs fan. I loved the way bernie played the game during the regular season, playoffs yes and the world series which seemed like it was every year for them. But man don't you all wonder man what if we had ken griffey jr 100 percent healthy someone who did't touch steroids, or bernie williams in his prime getting key hits in key moments.

how can you not love this video.... bernie has and always be my favorite baseball player....this song brings me to tears cuz you can feel his emotion as he plays, and how much the song means to him... he made this classic tune into a beautiful ballad
I have a deep and burning hatred for the Yankees (go tribe) but Bernie Williams has always been someone I have had complete respect for. He's a man who did it the right way in a world of crazy athletes. This is one of the most beautiful guitar pieces I have ever heard...
