like millions of fans i remember when he came up in the early 90's wearing his glasses. there was a game in May '93 (i think it was 93) when he was playing shallow center in the ninth. he misread a fly ball and it got over his head; it ended up costing them the game.  during the press conference after the game he was crying; apologizing to his teammates and fans. He cared that much about a game in May. you gotta respect that love.

Yeah, both teams played like crap. Yanks had 3 errors, ground into 3 double plays and left 12 runners on base. But that doesn't matter because everyone loves the Yankees. Even though we lost, I enjoyed last nights game and can't wait for game 3.
