We gave this a go last week and got to 76% on a lucky attempt, might not sound like much but was our first attempt as well, problem was we then actually looked at the tacs properly and it all went tits up from there, we had 4 dps rotating with 3 healers and got stuck for timing, the shard was lasting 30 seconds, the debuff 40 seconds and the buff for healers only 15 seconds, none of us are that smart on our maths and swiftly fuckethed uppeth, any tips on rotating? Amount of stacks to take?

@RandyRedCactus What you want to do is have a Torment healer rotation for the healers [Healer 1, 2 & 3], and Torment soaking rotation for the dps [Soaker 1, 2, 3 & 4]. What you want when a shard appears is for Soaker 1 standing next to the shard and Soaker 2 next to him, and moving out once he gets 13 stacks. Soaker 2 stays till the shard despawns. Healer 1 will heal Soaker 1 & 2 and then back to the tank after. Healer 2 will heal Soaker 3 & 4. And it loops with Healer 3 healing Soaker 1 & 2.

Don't see hwo u guys did that fight....4 hours on it only got em to 20%. Then again we only raid once a night. Paladin/Warrior tank though. Priest/Drood/paladin healers. Mage/Mage/DK/Ele/Boomkin dps.

You should have a popup to correct the mechanics of Vital Spark. You gain a stack per 3 stacks of Torment, not 1.

In general though, you guys are doing awesome. FF7 music ftmfw. I go to you guys before Tankspot or L2R these daze. Keep it up!

42,087,000 / 6 = 7014500 / 60 = 116908.3333

You need 117k raid dps to down this boss.

Assuming 2 tanks, 3 heals, 5 dps, your tanks should have 17k dps covered. Which means every one of your dps needs to be at 20k.

Tell your shaman heal L2 use addons/macros instead of click targeting and 1-9 keys. he was oom when the boss hit 80%, saw him spamming greater healling wave when everyone was topped off..bad news bears

You can compare your group DPS to ours if you like, you can find our logs if you search for Quantum Twisting Nether on Worldoflogs and find our first Firelands raid on 29th of June. Might show up as the 30th. I would provide a link but it appears Worldoflogs is undergoing maintenance.

Like to say a thank you to everyone who pointed out the error with Decimation Blade.

You want at least one tank with at least 250k+ hp to take decimation blade because it does 250k damage OR 90% hp. Sorry about that one guys.

@FatbossTV i think wat the journal is tryin to say is that the decimation blade will always deal at least a certain amount of damage. If the tanks health is higher than that mark, then he'll take 90% percent. If not, then he'll be one shotted since damage can't be reduced.

It's not a bug and the boss isn't broken at all. As was said earlier it always hits for 250k or 90% HP, because of this you should have your Decimation tank do the actual pull and get enough stacks of Blaze of Glory to get above 250k health (thus being able to survive the Decimation hits). You neglect to mention that healers retain their previous stacks of Vital Spark whenever Vital Flame runs off. Otherwise it's a decent enough guide, just make sure you know what you talk about :)
