Also my vision REALLY sucks because apartment #72 was not that massive. It was just one floor on the 7th floor. I mean, the location is correct, but my vision is terrible and I couldn't see well enough to know I was encompassing two floors in the picture.
I just realized that I made it sound like John F. Kennedy was president during May and John's relationship. I didn't. What I meant was the house was owned by Peter Lawford who was married at one time to JFK's sister and it was owned by the two at the time JFK was president. I just worded it awkwardly.
He should have stayed with May Pang. Because what kind of woman makes her ob gyn do a cesarean for numerical reasons and because it is her husband's birthday?
Thank you Neil, you do a great job in every video you have made. You let us all get a closer glimpse of a man we all love. John Lennon, a special and talented man we all sadly miss.
I might be able to confirm the Cold Spring Harbour photo..since Fred is a mate of mine..will see him this summer..am probably staying on his couch! so if I remember..I make him look at the pic and confirm it for ya!!
Neil, you hear this all the time- my researching the history of John Lennon in every aspect of his life is so delightful and so dependent upon your labor of love for John. Thank you Neil. On behalf of all humanity, I thank you.
The later years after we have all gone elsewhere, many more thousands, even millions! of humanity will thank you, Neil Fraudstrong.
Yes, I know. My dad pointed that out. He's a huge fan of The Lovin' Spoonful. I don't know why I said Jerry Butler. He was a soul singer. Oh well, the point is the same.
Interesting slide show of John's homes. I'm always wanted to see his Cold Spring Harbor home as well as his home in the Catskills.
I remember the story in the news when Yoko sold their cow and how they made a lot of money off of it. John mentions that at the end of his Oh Yoko song. Hmm... I wonder what Paul thought about that?
They made about 200-250,000 for one cow. They had others. That's pretty incredible. I mean, they didn't just sell it for food. They sold manure for fertilizer and everything. It was a really professional operation.
hi think this is john home in palm beach rather than yours, got the floor to ceiling window that over look the sea at fred seaman decibes in his 'living on borrowed time' book. great video!
John purchased Harold Vanderbilt's former home, El Solano, which is located at 721 S. County Road which is where the house in the picture comes from. I mean, I could be wrong, but it is a fact that John bought Harold Vanderbilt's home and the home in the video is El Solano.
Upon further inspection, you are correct. One of my sources for the address and location was the city of Palm Beach itself. It is indeed 721 S. Ocean Boulevard, NOT S. County Road like Palm Beach said. Sorry for doubting you at first :(
I was actually just doing a quick view via Google Maps. It's actually closer to PA than it is to Vermont. I think when I was making the video I saw a border on Google Maps and went LOL THAT MUST BE VERMONT! Even though it was to the south. But I saw Albany and thought it was upstate despite the fact Franklin is south of Albany.
For those interested, the address to Cannon Hill is 1420 Ridge Road, Syosset, NY, 11791. It is currently appraised to 4,191,000. It's 8,102 square feet with 8 bathrooms. The house next door to Cannon Hill is currently for sale at around 5 million dollars.
The monthly payment for Cannon Hill if you bought it today would be 17,773. It was built in 1906.
Again, I just wanted to say, that I am not 100% certain that house is Cannon Hill, but I have studied the home videos from my A Day in the Life series, pictures from Cannon Hill, and descriptions of it in Fred Seaman's book and I went up and down the coast of Cold Spring Harbor and found that house to be very close to the descriptions. The patio area especially looked like the one from the videos with the steps and the large lawn. I'm 85% certain it's Cannon Hill, but I can't guarantee it yet.
Looks like Cannon Hill from the photos. I feel like I'm the only fan that has photos of Villa Undercliffe in Bermuda where John stayed for about a month in 1980. That home was a bitch to find. (unmarked road but it did have the sign at the driveway entrance) the view was beautiful I could see why he loved it there.
Man. I knew I forgot something. How could I completely forget Villa Undercliffe? I know where it is as well (where it WAS anyway), but I guess I was just really really tired of doing research for one day and I forgot to include it.
*facepalm*
That being said, I am even more certain now that the house in the video is Cannon Hill. If you pause the video and really inspect it you can tell. Especially when having two windows open and comparing it with some of his home movies.
Great video..enjoyed every minute of it. Tanks for posting.

Great vid. I hate to say it, but you forgot John and Yoko's Bed-ins in the Amsterdam Hilton and Queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal!

@wildsmiley
I didn't forget it. They didn't really live there per se so I didn't include it.

@NeilFraudstrong Is the building @4:28 the same building where John and May Pang spotted a UFO in August 1974?
TheFreeMentality 2 months ago
@TheFreeMentality
I don't believe so, I believe that was on the lower east side where they spotted it.
NeilFraudstrong 2 months ago
@NeilFraudstrong Oh, because I knew the building didn't look the same as the pictures I've seen of it.

The member of Spoonful you refer to was JOE Butler...Not Jerry Butler.

Just to set the record straight: Franklin, NY is west of Albany, NY and about 150 south of Canada...and about 100 miles west of Vermont.
Not really what I would call "extreme" upstate NY!
Thanks for posting this!
