Stylings personal choice. Live and let live I say. I have a W126 and intend to keep it standard but I've kept most of my cars standard through choice, these look ok with the kits on and to be honest it brightens up the typically German "solid but not much adventure" styling.
Putting a kit like that on a Jag XJ6 would be a cardinal sin though. They don't need them anyway, you can't improve on perfection (styling only , not the engineering I hasten to add!!!)

this shit is making me sad! i just sold my 92 w140 for a thousand bucks lol....needed a big engine tuneup and alot of small parts, interior was in shit condition....so i think im fine, plus it is a freaking gas guzzler! BUT it is the best looking car sedan in MY opinion...once i have money im going to buy a 99 all black w140, 5 spoke brabus amg rims NO CHROME SHIT...clear corner lights and im good...ill pass on the sideskirts/body kit...quality kit is pricey, cheap shit looks like plastic

Yes, I quite agree with you. The new Mercedes Benz models haven´t got the appeal of the old versions. Both the w126 and the w140 models were solid, reliable cars made to last and designed to be timeless.
Instead, the new cars are equipped with state-of-the-art high technology, but driving them doesn´t cause you any sensation..they´re as sober as a laboratory!

The W220 is totally crap, W221 looks ok, but I think it's not so comfortable as a W140.
