Well, I just threw another pearl to a pig. I do play all the Renaissance and Baroque literature as well. It's just while playing this new instrument and looking at my cat, this particular composition just came out of my fingers. I am planning a "Swing/Jazz Clavichord CD. I might call it "Pearls For Pigs", I don't know. You can play anything on a clavichord - no rules.
Never saw so fine instrument in so wrong hands...this music in a kind of lame for playing in a clavichord...it would sound better in any elecronic keyboard...sorry, but
I love the new clavichord. You really have to see it in person. The workmanship is exquisite, and the wooden case is reinforced with a perfectly fitted metal brace. It stays in tune extremely well. The soundboard is painted. I have plans to record at least two CDs on it. Of all the clavichords out there, this was the best choice.
(since my English grammar isn't so fancy, I guess I will make myself sound like a professional) Indeed, such a clavichord (such an investment in these times) is a joyous thing to own. Your cat must have loved the lullaby, so did I (and apparently others ;) too) so good job and great choice
Randy, the lullaby is sweet and charming! Have listened a couple of times and now can't get it out of my head...a good sign! Thanks so much for writing it and sharing it here...Barb
It's a Polish carol ^^

Oh my! How pretty. And how well seemingly suited to the instrument.
What are your over all impressions of your new clavichord? I'd. love to know.
