oh my god... Leny's voice...gives chills it is sooooooooo beautiful and strong... and colorful... with so many tonalities... The song is wonderful and in Leny's voice is realy beautiful...

I don't think many singers can sing this song it takes a really strong voice. No one can top Frankie Laine with this song, but she comes close. Thanks for posting.

Que gratíssima surpresa encontrar esta jóia aqui meu amigo. O que acontece com o Brasil? Por que talentos grandiosos como esse morrem junto com o artista? Conheci Leny pessoalmente. Tinha um olhar penetrante, que assustava à primeira vista quem não estivesse preparado. Mas era um doce de pessoa e um poço de paixão pelo amor e por suas coisas trágicas. Super abraço.

Pois é ... concordo com você. Um grande talento, mas desconhecido da grande maioria dos brasileiros, que nem sempre admiram extensão vocal como o dela. Eu infelizmente não a conheci pessoalmente. Foi um privilégio seu. Mas é bom saber que se tratava de uma doce pessoa.

Thank you for comment. I knew she had in the program, but unfortunately I did not see the video of the Ed Sullivan Show. A pity it was removed.
In fact, it was a great singer who, in Brazil, where she was born, is not properly recognized.

Thanks to FFukashima for posting. There was an earlier You-tube video of Eversong performing this song on the Ed Sullivan show but it was removed. The lady got no breaks on looks, but boy, could she sing!. A powerhouse!

I actually prefer Eversong's rendition of Jezebel to Edith Piaf's. Eversong is so comfortable singing that big final "Jezeb-e-e-el" that she can add an intentional growl in her voice. Great stuff!
