@obone01 it handels pretty much of a light! But it's also depends on amount of sunlight you are getting from the window. And of course you better use drapes or jalousie if you experiencing too much sun light. But still when it's day moderate light and you tweak some brightess and High Lamp Mode you'll be fine.
The resolution looks amazing from what I can tell (except when you zoom in but it looks like the projector's menu is kinda low rez itself, is that right?)
Unfortunately, the black looks rather similar to my friend's projector, so I guess it is pretty bright. But of course, I have no 4000 euro to spend, 500 is my limit. Perhaps all affordable projectors have these bright blacks, if so, I'm gonna have to get along with that.
@Hirnduebel I read the bulb only lasts for 3000 hours, as opposed to the other projector I'm looking at - Epson EB-W7 - that one is the same price and resolution, and supposedly it's gonna last 5000 h. It's brighter though, so that might be a minus, considering black. Daaamn. Hard to decide.
LOL @ the Russian film dub reading out all the text. What's that game btw? it looks kinda cool!
@spgstr I may have found yet another projector that might be the perfect one for me - it's the Acer H5360 for about 500 euro - my friend's projector is also by Acer and my only complaint was the deal with the black stuff. But the H5360 appears to have a "dark cinema mode" where it goes down from 2500 Lumen to about 800 Lumen. Plus it's 3D ready (only with pc + nvidia card though), 1280x720, 3000:1 contrast, and relatively cheap lamp.
Sounds good no? But thanks again for your Sony video(s)!
@Hirnduebel Sounds pretty good! It was on my list with sony and epson as well and yea it has 3D so it could be a good stuff if you get nvidia card. Anyway i didn't tested Acer so can't compare them really. But i guess they should pretty much the same and you get 3d as well so might be a good choice.

If you had a good sized window on one of your side walls, how do you reckon it would handle the light?

which console was the last part? it looks amazing! was is upscaled to 1080p?
AijjGuj 11 months ago
@AijjGuj that was PC with xbox 360 controller for windows, and resolution is projector native 1280-800 and it looks really good.

@spgstr
really good! looks like 1080p to me
but do you think I will get similar quality with my xbox?
AijjGuj 11 months ago
@AijjGuj absolutley, when you play xbox or pc you can't really see the difference between 720p and 1080p
spgstr 11 months ago
@AijjGuj just make sure projector's native resolution is 1280/800 or any wide screen before you get it

Thanks for making that video!

@Hirnduebel Those "bright blacks" are not as bright as you actually think they are... they are really ok:)
(they get brighter with my shitty camera)
