Wow. Lies, after lies, after more lies. Firework injury rates have plummeted severely while the sales of them have gone up drastically! That is of course the "illegal fireworks" of which these people speak, which infact, are legal fireworks to the Federal Government, The "Illegal Fireworks" are the ones that shouldn't even have the name fireworks in them to begin with. They are explosives! M-80's, Cherry Bombs, Block Busters, you know, black market fireworks. Not consumer ones that are tested.

consumer class C fireworks which include artillery shells, cakes, helicopters, firecrackers, bottle rockets and other fireworks and NOT considered illegal by the federal government, the only reason people are bitching is because there afraid of the unknown, you have your share of idiots who will continue to misuse fireworks but the people who use them right outweigh the people who dont. if fireworks were that bad the federal government would outright ban them.

Yep leave it up to California to continue to go against what our founding fathers wanted. We are ordered buy them to put fire in the sky on the 4th! Seriously, fireworks done properly are as safe as taking a shower. Matter of fact many people get hurt in showers. Ban that soap, man it is sooo slippery!

if the fireworks are so dangerous, why is there a large display of them in the same room as the police officers? Next. Fireworks do not have a destructive nature. that is a flat out lie.

Consumer fireworks ARE NOT dangerous. There is a small inherent risk involved with using them, but that is a far cry from the "out to get you" mentality preached by the authorities.

It is quite simple really: follow the directions on the firework, and you will not be harmed.
