@Zarusaken You have to high jump. But what i did when i started out Jin is i went BC CD, just skip the second B and you will nail the combo every time.
I think Jin is actually has a steeper learning curve than most people think. I Thought he would be easier to use especially after i mained hazama. Imho I dont think jin is someone you would call beginner friendly.
@ThierLeader Jin is both beginner friendly and tough to master, especially with those up there, I managed to beat lvl100 COM Ragna with little knowledge using Jin though.

Very sadly. I don't see the countless Jin player performing any of these combos online. All I see is Jin zooming across from screen with his ice car BS. Also the successive grabs are so effing annoying.
Nonetheless, they are counterable but Jin's just easy to spam although his weaknesses are exploitable.
@UltimateUnknown Well, looks like you're just unlucky - or you still play against low lvl players in ranked. Almost every jin player above lvl50 can perform combos way better than these - especially in the corners. At least when i corner an oponent i can get at least 5k damage using 50% of the meter (with an air throw in the middle of the combo). But rejoice: in BBCS ice car was greatly nerfed and the one who uses it will get owned pretty bad ^^
@danteMdie Yea I think thats exacly the problem, the game came out in Europe a few months back and I couldn't keep on playing at the time. But now that I have come back to it and have learned some combos myself, all I see online are Jin players spamming and mostly Tagers, everyone just loves Tager. I have to say though, Tager is a darn decent character to face, no BS.
Good to know BBCS nerfed ice car, I cant see anything else in the game thats too annoying.
@UltimateUnknown Actually there's two very annoying things: arakune's BEES and nu's flying swords spamming lol. A good player with these two chars can be VERY annoying xD
@danteMdie I rarely ever face Arakune, I suppose only advanced players can usee his bees properly, i never looked at him.
Nu on the other hand is not as much of a problem when used by noobs,all they try to do is spam the D button and all I do is get close to her and stay wary of her grab. But yes an advanced Nuu player can cause some serious problems when they start using Rapid cancels and C to get u in the air. But then again, all characters seem annoying when used by an experienced player.
btw for any1 who is interested in seeing someone who knows how to play the game use jin check out [BlazBlue] - Jin Combo Video by HaruShinobi, its not perfect, but when compared to trash like this, it will look like art lol.

@4znBoiix : thanks for the combo; I mostly use Jin's jumping kick move thingie (think it's 6C,) to start off combos but I'm still a noob and experimenting with this game. I played Guilty gear but personally didn't have a home console besides a PS1 (seriously this is true; I only bought a ds lite between the ps2 and ps3,) bought a PS3 like a few weeks ago and then had to get a new Tv with it -.-; So I played with jin for the past three days currently.
Any tips on what to start off with than 2B in combos for Jin? I'm trying to learn to use Jin/Rach/Noel and need some pointers. I only played the game like four times and I just got a ps3 to play the limited edition blazblue in my house :3
btw looking at combo videos and experimenting as well.
@sleepyschezo: I don't use 2B very often, there are plenty of opportunity to interrupt the opponent's obvious attacks with 5B or even 5C if in a safe distance.
There's also j.B that's very good to start a combo off. My personal favorite is something like this: j.B > j.C > 2B > 5C > 3C > Icecar. I approach from the air a little bit too much...
Just try to mix it up, you might come up with things that you find comfortable.
I don't get why they start with 2B in these combos. You shouldn't be using 2B too much as Jin.
Combo 2 - If you cancel your grab with an A version of Musou Senshouzan fast enough, you can catch with a 5C and jump cancel for an aerial combo for more damage. My recommendation is 5C j.BC j.C 214B.
Combo 5 - Better variant, forget the ice car. Land and 5C them, then j.BCD again, THEN ice car.
Combo 2 is down right awful just for starting a combo with a grab, I also don't like starting combos with ice car a. Only due to the fact people guard then punish it. 5B happy Raggs etc.

Jin is definietly the MOST BROKEN character by far in this game. As I am a Jin-ner, I know lol. Try using his grab in succession. Look how much damage it does. You can pretty much freeze then garb the whole match and win without much effort.
Dude, you can plug a second controller and press start if you are losing, you'll get a "New Challenger" stuff, beat the second player ( which is you doing nothing ) and voila you are back to fighting whoever it was you were about to lose to. Infinite continues this way in Score Attack remember you must do this BEFORE your HP reaches 0 in the second round.
I've been doing that. I just cant seem to predict his movements. Plus takes half the damage you give him and gives it back to you 10000000000000x stonger.
If you use Jin, "lolz Ice Car" actually works in this case, just be careful when he has more than 50 heat. Another thing, he can read your input so do NOTHING, don't be pressing buttons all the time, if you do nothing he freaks the hell out and doesn't know what to do. Just freeze, Ice car, freeze, Ice car and you'll win.

i would definitely say sf4. Less spammable skills. Though any genius can get around it though. Just gotta be patient. Both games require just as much skill to be good
Blazblue. SF4 is a good game and all (been playing sf since before i knew my abc's) But Blazblue to me takes more skill. SF4 takes alot of patience tho....alot of turtling going on there. Hmm when you think about it they both take alot of skill but just different skills. lol long ass post

That last combo is pointless, its just a waste of heat bar. It only does 4466 damgae. while you can just do 6C>the arrows of Ice super(632146D)>air grab> 214D(the one where he shoots 3 ice swords) That combo only uses 75% Heat and does about 5200 damage.
I agree. It's really just an exhibition combo I think - to show off your skill as opposed to causing big damage. The combo scaling means that the moves do next to nothing in that combo. Looks mighty impressive though lol.

jin is too perfect, one of the reasons why i hate fighting him. he is good for all types of players(rush type, pussy type, baiter type, ect) and both of his supers are fast, he has that shoryuken (icefang?) that owns anything in the air, good long range and close, AND HE CAN FREEZE... there is just nothing wrong with him and that is why he ruins the game. rate this comment down and you suck arakunes wet, goop dick.. rate this comment up and v13 lichi, noel, and taokaka will do anything you want.

Inferno divider owns the air as well and can override icefang at times and it can also go through both of jins supers. In ragnas blood kain you can do his D loop into Kami(the grab super). see if you want to beat jin you have to use a technique that we like to call blocking. P.s everybody has some advantage and disadvantage in this game (including jin). just depends on the matchup.
Nah, Jin is a little better than Ragna, as hes a better all-around character. However, tiers don't matter that much in BB so its really not a big deal...at all.

If you think Jin is invincible, go play a good Carl or v-13. Seriously, if you think Jin doesn't have any trouble beating his opponents, you're going to be hit with a very unpleasent realization the moment you find out Carl has an infinite loop and v-13's entire playstyle revolves around running away and spamming D.

Carl, even if you hit Nirvana when it's activated, Carl will hit you and counter hit you, sending you into the infinite. You can't do anything about it.
If you think these tactics work against v-13 and Carl, then find a tactic to beat Jin, because Jin is dozens times easier to beat than a good v-13 or Carl.
lol beating a v13 is super easy with jin in the first place, running her into a corner and hitting her with a mix of low and mid attacks, if she does that barrier block you can get back on her with his short ice car, and grabs and possibly a roman or rapid. and carl, why would you hit her when he is right behind or infront of her? lol thats asking for an asskicking.and if your in that loop, you can burst and get the PERFECT chance to get on him and win
Jin's pressure game is subpar, v-13 can easily poke out or break Jin's pressure game, and stop approaches with her D attacks. Using an ice car to close in has lag and v-13 will punish Jin out of it.
If you burst the infinite, Carl will just get you back into it if he knows what he's doing. You can't just charge a Carl in any match, you need to zone him the entire time.
Jin isn't nearly as unbeatable as you claim. I suggest you either play better people, or get more experience.
V 13's C tap can stop jins ice car in its track ;_; I'd study up on v 13 but im in college and i try to keep my brain activity at a minimum out of class. What i love about jin is that hes got familiar moves of sol from gg and obviously Ky. And that those hot ass ice skills.. unlike any game ive ever seen. It's just so fun. Second day playin it, i friggin love this game.
There were seven Jins who qualified for SBO. Not one of them made it past the first round.
Four characters can escape clap loop without bursting (Ragna, Rachel, Hakumen and I forget who else). Also, not many high-level Carl will rely on clap loop unless in a pinch. It's actually pretty situational to get caught in the loop in the first place.
What you'll see a lot more often is punch loop and grab loop. Punch loop is much more reliable and grab loop does more damage.
bro your little scenarios are against someone picking up the game for the first time, which I assume is the only type of people you play. Look at the real skill out there.

I said ragna can Inferno Divder, Icefang not block it. why? because inferno divider makes ragna invincible too. and when I say block I mean block stuff like ice car and other attacks. and you can block as soon as you attack in the air if you kara cancel. Inferno Divider definately beats out ice fang and goes into a strong combo. learn to play.
i've never had to much of a hard time fighting jin, so he isn't really that perfect; he does get annoying when i fight the people who just ice car back and forth over my head lol

the reviews don't really influence my decisions much though. i only get the one's i think look awesome out of the above 6's.i do pay attention to the complaints of a game though, then i check what they say about presentation, lasting appeal, gameplay, etc... then that's where youtube comes in. but as i said before, i 'usually' wait for the price to go down a bit of a for game i want

@4znBoiix : thanks for the combo; I mostly use Jin's jumping kick move thingie (think it's 6C,) to start off combos but I'm still a noob and experimenting with this game. I played Guilty gear but personally didn't have a home console besides a PS1 (seriously this is true; I only bought a ds lite between the ps2 and ps3,) bought a PS3 like a few weeks ago and then had to get a new Tv with it -.-; So I played with jin for the past three days currently.

@sleepyschezo: I don't use 2B very often, there are plenty of opportunity to interrupt the opponent's obvious attacks with 5B or even 5C if in a safe distance.
There's also j.B that's very good to start a combo off. My personal favorite is something like this: j.B > j.C > 2B > 5C > 3C > Icecar. I approach from the air a little bit too much...
Just try to mix it up, you might come up with things that you find comfortable.

A few notes about these combos.
I don't get why they start with 2B in these combos. You shouldn't be using 2B too much as Jin.
Combo 2 - If you cancel your grab with an A version of Musou Senshouzan fast enough, you can catch with a 5C and jump cancel for an aerial combo for more damage. My recommendation is 5C j.BC j.C 214B.
Combo 5 - Better variant, forget the ice car. Land and 5C them, then j.BCD again, THEN ice car.
Combo 13 - Waste of meter. Don't bother with it.

Combo 2 is down right awful just for starting a combo with a grab, I also don't like starting combos with ice car a. Only due to the fact people guard then punish it. 5B happy Raggs etc.

Jin is definietly the MOST BROKEN character by far in this game. As I am a Jin-ner, I know lol. Try using his grab in succession. Look how much damage it does. You can pretty much freeze then garb the whole match and win without much effort.

Dude, you can plug a second controller and press start if you are losing, you'll get a "New Challenger" stuff, beat the second player ( which is you doing nothing ) and voila you are back to fighting whoever it was you were about to lose to. Infinite continues this way in Score Attack remember you must do this BEFORE your HP reaches 0 in the second round.

If you use Jin, "lolz Ice Car" actually works in this case, just be careful when he has more than 50 heat. Another thing, he can read your input so do NOTHING, don't be pressing buttons all the time, if you do nothing he freaks the hell out and doesn't know what to do. Just freeze, Ice car, freeze, Ice car and you'll win.

You CAN'T wait untill the last minute, is better to abandon the fight with 1/4 of your life ( Carnage Scissors and Devoured by darkness take like half so you're already dead ) and fight him again right away than waiting till the last minute to see if you can turn the tide ( you cant ) and then lose and start over again.

That last combo is pointless, its just a waste of heat bar. It only does 4466 damgae. while you can just do 6C>the arrows of Ice super(632146D)>air grab> 214D(the one where he shoots 3 ice swords) That combo only uses 75% Heat and does about 5200 damage.

I agree. It's really just an exhibition combo I think - to show off your skill as opposed to causing big damage. The combo scaling means that the moves do next to nothing in that combo. Looks mighty impressive though lol.

Inferno divider owns the air as well and can override icefang at times and it can also go through both of jins supers. In ragnas blood kain you can do his D loop into Kami(the grab super). see if you want to beat jin you have to use a technique that we like to call blocking. P.s everybody has some advantage and disadvantage in this game (including jin). just depends on the matchup.

Seriously, if you think Jin doesn't have any trouble beating his opponents, you're going to be hit with a very unpleasent realization the moment you find out Carl has an infinite loop and v-13's entire playstyle revolves around running away and spamming D.

Lolwut? v-13s can zone you better than you can zone her because of her ridiculous range. You try rushdown and pressuring her and she'll escape and continue spamming.
Carl, even if you hit Nirvana when it's activated, Carl will hit you and counter hit you, sending you into the infinite. You can't do anything about it.
If you think these tactics work against v-13 and Carl, then find a tactic to beat Jin, because Jin is dozens times easier to beat than a good v-13 or Carl.

lol beating a v13 is super easy with jin in the first place, running her into a corner and hitting her with a mix of low and mid attacks, if she does that barrier block you can get back on her with his short ice car, and grabs and possibly a roman or rapid. and carl, why would you hit her when he is right behind or infront of her? lol thats asking for an asskicking.and if your in that loop, you can burst and get the PERFECT chance to get on him and win

Jin's pressure game is subpar, v-13 can easily poke out or break Jin's pressure game, and stop approaches with her D attacks. Using an ice car to close in has lag and v-13 will punish Jin out of it.
If you burst the infinite, Carl will just get you back into it if he knows what he's doing. You can't just charge a Carl in any match, you need to zone him the entire time.
Jin isn't nearly as unbeatable as you claim. I suggest you either play better people, or get more experience.

V 13's C tap can stop jins ice car in its track ;_; I'd study up on v 13 but im in college and i try to keep my brain activity at a minimum out of class. What i love about jin is that hes got familiar moves of sol from gg and obviously Ky. And that those hot ass ice skills.. unlike any game ive ever seen. It's just so fun. Second day playin it, i friggin love this game.

There were seven Jins who qualified for SBO. Not one of them made it past the first round.
Four characters can escape clap loop without bursting (Ragna, Rachel, Hakumen and I forget who else). Also, not many high-level Carl will rely on clap loop unless in a pinch. It's actually pretty situational to get caught in the loop in the first place.
What you'll see a lot more often is punch loop and grab loop. Punch loop is much more reliable and grab loop does more damage.

I said ragna can Inferno Divder, Icefang not block it. why? because inferno divider makes ragna invincible too. and when I say block I mean block stuff like ice car and other attacks. and you can block as soon as you attack in the air if you kara cancel. Inferno Divider definately beats out ice fang and goes into a strong combo. learn to play.
