@808Echo Yup, that's him! And ironically, my favorite episode of SVU is when Anthony Rapp guest starred. So they were together again because of that. Lol. :)
This middle aged guy just spent some wonderful moments reliving being in our HS production in 1975- I still remember all the words and I just feel...happiness all over!
I'm stage managing for this show right now.... It struck me during rehearsal today of the meaning of the song and I burst into tears. We start preforming in a little over two weeks and the cast all felt bad for making me cry.
this was the last song i did as a high schooler a few years back and it wasnt until the last performance that the meaning of the song hit me and right on stage i was choking back tears trying to look happy. It was the hardest thing ive ever had to do. I looooove this song
cute song, i had to sing this for an important audition but since im a low singer i wasnt successful but im still young so, not to worry! i thought i wouldnt be able to keep going with my dreams but everytime i hear this it makes me happy that i gave it shot and tried my best and thats all you can ask for. xxx
I just finished my last show for You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (I was Sally) I almost burst into tears singing this song because it's such a beautiful sing and 2 it's my last show with my high school. This show is so amazing, and so is this song.
Actually, originally he wasn't much more than a dog. It wasn't until long after the Snoopy character was introduced that he was given a human-esque character. And it wasn't until "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" (the cartoon) that he was able to talk, or have thought bubbles.
They had an animated special based on the Off-Broadway musical, except, in THAT stage musical, Sally wasn't in. Sally took Patty's place in the special.
Yeah, and it had the little kids singing. I mean, little kids is okay, but in my opinion the musical doesn't work as well when it's kids playing kids. Part of what makes it good is the fact that it's adults playing kids. That's just my opinion though.
@kittypurrrr: Or not. I stick to the canon and in it, the animated specials always have kids playing the characters to keep them forever ageless, since they were already based on people from the life of Shulz himself (most of whom were adult, anyway).
@iTiddlywinks: They did. Remember, this is based on the Peanuts canon and this musical originally started as a Broadway production in the 60's that became an animated special in the 80's. This revived version of the musical, adding two songs and replacing Patty for Sally, came in the 90's.
@iTiddlywinks I see your point; I, too, think there should be a remake of that special with the songs just as improved as in this revival, and those written only for it.
wait...B.D. Wong...as in the psychaitrist from Law and Order: SUV?
some resume....^_^

I wish we would do this musical for my school but we usually do shows with bigger casts. I'd want to be Charlie Brown.

Sally sounds like Lilly St. Regis from the Disney version of "Annie". I know why. It IS Kristin Chenoweth.

yeah its just part of the humor that makes it good. kids would be ok but, wow that 30 year old man is playing a 5 year old
jarhead022 3 years ago 3
also the animated version didn't have those harmonies at the end and ,for me, that's what really makes the song!!
broadwaydude2378 2 years ago 2
