Yes , you are right !

But I don´t like to play in other tunings !(Because of reading notes)

    Thanks,

    wolfgang

  • Superb, and I can imagine the effort! Excellent rendition:)

  • good job, beautiful!

    5*****

  • Just comparing the left hand positions & such it almost looks easier than DADGAD - all the videos of people playing this piece in DADGAD look extremely difficult (and I gave up trying to play it myself). It would definitely be interesting to see it notated or tab as played here.

  • Wolfgang, you know, I listened to this version of yours for some time now, and it is remarkable how you did this, realy superbe job. If you would not have mentioned it was in standard, nobody would have noticed, i am sure of that!

    P?.

  • Thank you my friend.

I am always enjoyed reading your comments!

(except you claim tabs from me - LOL )

    all the best to you,

    wolfgang

  • The essence of this piece is spot on, some people regard alt tunings as the holy grail, yet you have mastered this piece in standard and showed it can be done. As Mr Bensusan has said in the past, once you move away from first position and modal tunes, you cant tell your in dadgad anyway. Lovely work!!

  • The critics can eat humble pie as this is still sounds superb in standard tuning. Enjoyed every note Wolfgang..

5 glittery stars for your stamp on this piece

  • Many many thanks for your nice words!

    cheers,

    wolfgang

  • You are a gifted player. Thanks for putting your videos up here.

  • Thank you for your nice comment !

    best regards,

    wolfgang

  • Thanks Stephen !

    Am I late ? (a joke)

    all the best,

    wolfgang

  • What do you mean by that ?

    cheers,

    wolfgang

  • Again, fantastic!

  • Thank you !

    best regards,

    wolfgang

  • Wow,you used the standard tuning!Just noticed that~

I've listened to many versions of my friends playing this tune, but yours is the best!

    Keep picking

    Robert

  • Thanks Robert !

And your steelstring version is perfect !

    best regards,

    wolfgang

  • Again, an incredible job on this tune. I sympathize with the tuning on the nylon strings, but I think you'd get a better representation of the bass around 2:00 if you were in DADGAD. I'd love to see how this sounds in DADGAD. Love your videos, and your playing. Cheers!

  • You are right!

But I don´t like other tunings! (except dropped D)

I wanna get familiar with my fingerboard!

    Thanks,

    wolfgang

  • I am going to hang myself with my guitar strings ! well done in standard tune it's sounding very well too

    congratulation *****

  • someone could tell me how i can get this tab in E tuning? Thank you!

  • I've been learning this tune on and off for about four years, in DADGAD. I never thought I'd get to where I am on it (probably about a year away from near your standard!), and its been worth it. I can now goof around with bits of it, by changing the rythm/tempo. Your version is obviously very good. Why didnt you try DADGAD - is it because of nylon strings. Anyway, congratulations.

  • Thanks for your kind words,

yes it is because of the nylonstrings, they loose their tune very easy. And I do not like to orientate myself new on the board!

    cheers, wolfgang

  • this is great, do you happen to have the tablature for this version in standard tuning. I would love to learn to play it in standard.

  • Thanks for compliment!

I didn´t write it down. I just read the original notes and I made short notices on it!

    cheers, wolfgang

  • that is a beautiful guitar! i dont notice so much in your other videos, but the tone is perfect

great playing again! i hadnt heard of pierre in a while, thanks for the reminder

  • Great transposition to regular tuning. It lost little of the feel of the original which is quite remarkable, though there is a slightly different nuance to it in DADGAD. It seems to have slightly more resonance and depth in DADGAD but your version was great.

  • Nice job - nice job!

  • Wow, that's a really nice tune, and so well played!

  • well done

  • when i first saw the tab of this song, i had a thought that i should change the tuning of the song so that i can play easier than the origianl.... and you did it!! i do not know why you decide to play this song in standard but, nice work!

  • I am not used to change the tuning - besides dropped D - so it was an easy decision.

thanks for comment from a great guitar player - I heard your videos -

    cheers wolfgang

  • Great playing!one of my favorite tunes.great sound

  • thank you very much, wolfgang

  • I really enjoyed that thanks -well played. I might consider trying this tune myself.

  • thanks, why not. 4 years ago I didn´t think that I could play this tune.

    chers wolfgang

  • thanks my friend

  • bravo! You are truly and inspiration!

  • OK, you played that better in Standard than I can do (most of) it in DADGAD. 5 stars.

    I'm SO friggin' jealous.

  • great compliment from a great player - I am delighted!

    cheers wolfgang

  • It's hard to believe that this is one of the pieces that students are expected to know beforehand at his weeklong clinic.

  • Yes, its more than just "nice". Jee, man, why not in DADGAD? I could have send you the tab;) again, bravo.

  • Thank you, I have the tab. But I don´t like to switch my brain in DADGAD.

    Thanks for compliment, cheers wolfgang
