  • JPJ is clearly not singin' alot :P

  • Ahhh...The Triple Neck....LUV IT!!!

  • Does anybody if Robert is using any microphone effects or something if anyhthing?

  • @sesspleftocore Towards the end of the song, a delay effect is added to Robert's vocals.

  • I love that mandolin intro.

  • look how young and sexy robert plant was :(

this really makes me wish i grew up in the 70s :/

  • I don't want a mandolin, I NEED a mandolin!!!

  • GJ John Paul Jones!

  • love led zeppelin hearts in the right place ,not the greatest live band though never really captured the hairs on my neck. not a patch on the who. i will say madison square gardens performance is quality by zep .but all the same better then the shit we have to listen to now.

  • I like Bonzo's ingenius use of a tamborine, drum stick and mic.

  • They should have got sandy to join them for this and it would have been epic, but yeh i dont really even think they take the song very serious when john paul jones is doing backup vocals.... his voice is awful i love him but it really is.

  • @shane31lv Would have been nice, but she was dead already I believe.

  • @shane31lv Sandy Denny died in April of 1978, she was 31 and probably one of the best singer-songwriters of all time. She died of a brain hemorrhage after falling down stairs at her home. Another loss of a great artist before her time.

  • There are 6 idiots, I see.

  • I was there, fourteen years old and one of my first concerts - mythical and amazing to see my musical heroes, thanks for posting.

They played in the Kingdome, terrible sound though - since imploded to make way for another sports arena..

  • great song

  • lol @ Jimmy's hand 5:55

  • one of the best lz songs!

  • John Bonham should have been on backing vocals. From him singing back in 1975 at the Earls Court Concert Bonham sung quite well during Bron-Y-Aur Stomp. John Paul Jones... eh. Not bad but definitely not good. Sucks because JPJ is the most underrated musician. He may be able to use his vocals, but he can use and play about every other instrument imaginable!

  • i wonder what tuning JPJ is using...

  • @PaintedSidewalk I believe it's just standard.

  • who's singing with Plant from 1:26 - 1:37 ? Or is it some kind of effect?

  • And what about them backing vocals, uh ?

  • que miedo con los efectos de voz jijjajajaja

  • que miedo con los efectos de voz

  • 7/17/77, eh??? lol

  • Jonesy singing!!!!! :D !!!!!

  • I saw LZ in '73, Stones a bunch of times, and the Doors twice, AC/DC and my kids turned me on to Nirvana in the late 89's, with my late wife to see Michael Jackson and a grand kid to see MnM a few years ago...So, I have seen pretty much all. For showmanship: Jackson, for sheer energy: Nirvana, for crazyness & mystic: Jim Morrison, overall package though: Led Zep. Hands down...it was one of my first concerts, the only time I saw them at MSG, and I still remember it, even though I was stoned.

  • to each is own, true, but any body who says Zepplin sucked in concert is mentally deficient, Foghat in 99 is better than zep in 77? Woooww, it is clear that the tastless of the world are spawning like fungus.

  • they are awesome in concert!

  • You have got to be joking, right? You wouldn't know good if it hit you in the face!

  • @Lenjia No, they always sucked in concert. They are an awesome band, but not in concert

  • To each his own I guess? I am just wondering what band you think is good in concert then?

  • @Lenjia Lots, I saw AC/DC last year. They were good. I saw Foghat in '99 they were great too. I've seen lot's of good bands in concert.

  • @jrewert AC/DC with Bon Scott, would be a great show, the new guy, I guess I would have to pass on that one. Foghat, that would be a great show!

  • who else thinks jimmy page had shaved his area before the show and it was itchy at the end of the song? :P lol

This is amazing and i dont think it was anything close to their first acoustic show they always do acoustic sets as the poster of the video said,

To Jonohull thanks for this video!!!!!

  • lol they sound so fucking high slurign words and shit

  • lol the sound so high

  • lol... do you think they really were high?

  • Viva Zeppelin !!!!!!1

  • aaa adoro esta canción, es hermosa

  • this is awesome!

  • Probably one of the very first "Un-Plugged" concerts ever...and Zep took a LOT of crap on their 3rd album for going more acoustic. Critics. HA! How many critics of ANYTHING actually perform, or cook, or paint, etc, & etc??? Gotta 'member, Robert was still recovering from a broken leg, too, at the time. Do yer homework, kids. Remember: Peace Through Music, and Love Wins...Every Time!

    OUTSIDETHEBOCKS

  • This was just the acoustic set of a full 3-hour rock concert. They had been doing that since 1970.

  • @OUTSIDETHEBOCKS How many performers, cookers or painters actually write good critique?

  • @OUTSIDETHEBOCKS Yeah! "I dont think the critics could understand what we were doing" - Jimmy Page

  • @OUTSIDETHEBOCKS the broken leg was two years prior idiot

  • @OUTSIDETHEBOCKS You can't criticize a car because you're not a car constructor? You can't criticize football players because you're not a professional player? You can't dislike a film because you're not a film director? Your arguments are weak.

  • 1:23 is that john bonham? what is he wearing??

  • Yes. Pants.

  • tighty whities? i guess.

  • That opening mandolin riff is so sexy.

  • THATS MY BIRTHDAY!!! just not the year. haha

  • Jonesy already kinda sang for his first own recorded song Baja...

Page already sang for his first recorded song She Just Satisfies...

Both sang, but Jimmy is a good singer than you think. Early Page and early Jones! Wow! Awesome! Very rare and juicy stuff!

    You should check it out!

PS: Jimmy on the harmonica is WOW! (He does the back voices too)...

  • can u tell me a link of them in their first songs? And the link where page plays harmonica

  • Just search it up on youtube I said the songs...

  • Rawr~ Jimmy Page-!!

    I love that Fool! xD

  • Robert Plant's son died a week later.

  • John Paul Jones FTW

  • worlds best rock n rollers

  • Hahah [at the end]

I'm like: "Haha. Dude. Dude. Hahaha. Theres cameras on you, dude. HAha"

  • I'm glad to see JPJ getting some spotlight!!! I think he did a good job for a non-singer!!!

  • This happened on my seventh birthday.

  • that john paul jones

  • he readily admits that

  • jimmy page can actually sing just listen to she just satisfies here on the tube

  • i really love JPJ hes a great musician but he doesnt have the best vocals they shoulda used bonzo

    PS JPJ said ho

  • Should have put Bonzo on back up vocals I liked his backup on "Bron-y-Aur-stomp. Anyways that's my opinion, still great performance.

  • Yeah, Bonzo also did great back up vocals for "The Ocean" TSRTS.

  • we can find this song live but not ramble on, thats annoying.

  • That's because they never played Ramble On live.

  • I know, because that song had so many layers to it. They did play Ramble On at the O2 arena.

  • @jonohull my understanding is that "Living Loving Maid" was the only tune they never played live.

  • @phrydoom

There were lots of songs they never played live. LLM, In the Light, Houses of the Holy, most of Presence, I'm Gonna Crawl, and others.

  • @jonohull Yeah, it must of been up to a certain point or something. Because it doesn't make sense, really. I mean, what major act plays everything live that they recorded?

  • @jonohull did they ever play when the levee breaks live?

  • @cbeauski Yes, they played it a couple times in early 75.

  • @jonohull Actually, they played it a couple of times in 1970. I have the recordings from Madison Square Garden a well as Chicago--the latter which comes as no surprise as Chicago is mentioned in the song. Both the versions I've hear are really well played--althought the Chicago boot was not up to the standards that better boots consisently are showing. One sonf I wish was never dropped was "Out On The Tiles" which used to be played in its entirety and not just as a seque to 'Black Dog'

  • @MadderRoseRulz They only played WTLB twice. Brussels 1/12/75 and Chicago 1/20/75.

  • @jonohull My bad...You're right. I looked at the CD I had with WTLB on it and it is the Chicago show you mentioned...Thanks for the correction...It's too bad that they dropped that epic tune after just two perfermances...On this one, I agree that JPJ does a hell of a job!

  • amazing led zeppelin r gods

RIP John Henry Boham a.k.a Bonzo

  • okk.....first of all....jimmy stuck his hand down his pants at the end....lmao!!

second....this performance was amazing...but jimmy and JPJ cant sing...and the whole band knows it....its funny watching them try though,,,,and dont dog me for that! even page and palnt were laughing!

and the echo at the end was pretty funny!:)

    anddd....GODDAMMIT BONZO!

he even beats tha shit outta his tambourines! its amazing!!

  • Holy Shit!!! Evermore Unplugged!!!

  • lol i love bonzo he is jus there lol

  • jpj on vocals amazing

  • Magnífica canción.

  • someday you'll grow/............till then get off the page !

  • omg religious spammers, fuck me, oh and thanks for the video, great song

  • Christ schmist..seriously get stuffed

  • jimmy page on vocals? lol

    i think you mean JPJ

    as in John Paul Jones

  • Jones is fantastic Just look at that treble necked guitar, but he's no singer and he certainly not Sandy Denny.

  • shame... 7-1-777... what a beautiful date! And what an event to miss :(

  • I was 3 months old then:)

  • holy crap kick ass mandolin and i didnt know john paul jones saaang yeaa

  • I love jpj I really do but this just does not sound right with him singing

  • Pitty that Sandy Denny isn't there. Her voice is so beautiful.

  • I know, doesn't sound the same with jimmy page on vocals

  • Who is judging this with thumbs down? I don't understand? Page is great guitar player, but he is not a singer. And Sandy Denny was in my opinion one of the best. Please listen to the original on IV before putting thumbs down.

  • Hey does anyone know what robert is talking about arsenal in the beggining?

  • '''cough' Arsenal'' was a catchphrase of comedian Eric Morcambe who was a huge tv star in the uk at that time

  • Here's hippo , Here's hippo. any one ?

  • Zep songs were complicated to reproduce on stage, they could of hired back up singers and a rythem guitarist for Jimmy but that would of just looked weird and pretty dum. They where right just to keep it the four of them, when they were on stage they would just improvise, in my opinion keep their concerts exciting, you never knew what they would do next. The mighty Zeps style!

  • k im sorry but JPJ is a horrid singer lol

  • Does anyone know the name of the effect they use on Roberts voice to get that harmonized voice?

  • It's a pitch transposer, probably one of the first Eventide Harmonizers, which were brand new back in 1977.

  • If you're talking about the record they had some girl who was quite famous sing with them

  • I'm talking about the live version in the chorus part. Think Kohntarkosz got it right :)

  • Sandy Denny, :)

  • i was 16yrs old that night. $10 a ticket and you could find tickets for less than $5 in front of the kingdome?

  • Bonham should have been on vocals backing up JPJ. He was a good singer too, just listen to Bron-yr-Aur Stomp, live of course.

  • at 5:12 plant shakes his head like "thats too many oh yeahs john"

  • Did anyone notice how Jimmy put his hand in his pants at the very end? Anyone?

  • Did you read any of the other comments? Did you?

  • Eh, my mistake.

  • OMG! AL BUNDY STOLE THIS SIGN FROM JIMMY!

so led Zeppelin isnt only the corner stone of modern rock music, its also the corner stone of sit coms xD

  • Oh my god so many epic things but one really bad part......John Paul Jones's Vocals!! (No offense to the god of a bassist!!)

  • Now thats what I call Unplugged even with the primitive vocal effects this is amazing. The Zeppelin had no bounderies!!

  • 8 seconds into the song plant coughs and then says something. To me it sounds like he is saying Arsenal, what do you guys think?

  • "asshole"

  • I'd say Arsenal too, because I know the British accent, I have Brit in me. Knowing the accent, we never really say an R as the American speaker does, it is barely heard... it sounded to me like "Ah(r)senal"

  • gracias por postear estos videos. En America por supuesto existimos una gran cantidad de fans de Led Zeppelin, me encanta este tema...recuerdo las batallas del señor de los anillos, esta en especial es de pelennor o no?

  • Is it true that Sandy Denny is the only one that has played or sang with Led Zep on a record except the 4 original members (prior to the reunion of course)?

  • Yes.

  • I trust you!

    Thank you very much!

  • Ian Stewart played piano on Rock and Roll, they had an orchestra play on Kashmir &Viram Jasani played tabla on black mountain side

  • sang yes, played no. there are strings on kashmir that are not played by them, also on friends (III) I think...

  • yea it is true

  • Ian Stewart played the piano on Rock & Roll

  • hey, jones is actually not bad at singin'

  • jimmy's style is the best

  • the best song ever. VIVA ZEPPELIN !!!!!!

  • JPJ is an amazing musician and very underrated. HOWEVER, he really does need to keep away from the mic haha

  • I dont think he is underrated, . I think he is recognized as a very good musician, he is just outshined by Page and Bonham that are just too very excessively good...if he played on a lesser good band he would probrably come out as the best, but...

  • Is led Zeppelin from the vietnam age?:

  • They were active from 1968-1980, so yes, they were.

  • hahah good performance but john paul jones loses all singing privileges after this

  • what the hell he does stick his hand in his pants

  • fn coooool led zep rule

  • i was there. what an amazing show

  • your 1 lucky sob

  • actually he's saying 'asshole' :)) honestly

  • Lmao ..Jimmy just stuck his hand right in >:)yum

  • Lol Pagey with his hand down his pants at the end.

  • Haha Jonesy!

  • page did sing at this show on bron-y-yur stomp

    (to patzeppelin)

  • i think jpj does a decent job of replicating sandy denny's vocals...nowadays they'd just sample her tracks

  • Arsenal? the soccer team?

  • Battle of evermore; dance remix [sort of]

  • I really hate the Harmonizer on Robert's vocals. It almost ruins this whole song for me. and as for Jonesy's vocals, I think they're great, just not really for this song.

  • I agree. It's a cool effect, but seriously, it sounds horrible.

  • LOL Jonesy's vocals are terrible!! You can even see Robert laughing at him. Jonesy knows it too, he laughs with him.

But yeah, there wasn't much more available to them at the time and it would've been a lot easier on Robert's voice to use the harmonizer.

  • i dont know why you guys say that john paul jones has bad vocals.

hes not a singer, that took alot of guts to do.

hes got a british accent and a deep voice, just dosent go with the song

  • I was at this show!!!

I was in the 5th grade!!!

  • hahahah!!! page puts his hand down his pants a little at the end! oh my gosh, [some of] my dreams just came true
