yes you can do career mode in the ps2 version i have it on ps2 cause i didnt have a ps3 when it was out but yeah you can do career its just called earn your strips now tis really cool but the visuals are better on ps3 cause you actually see the drivers hands lolz etc

Okay look, i paid 17 dollars for this game used for my ps2. I've played enought to win a season cup race.

I could tell you how this game is missing 1 thing big time. And that is announcers. It's so quiet, it makes it even more boring. I've always loved listening to madden, or chick hearn in my 04 NBA live game. Get waltrip and the others sound bits EA. I wanna hear on the loud speakers at the track whats going on, not just spotters and lap times.

I want to be able to say multiple sayings on the radio so jr. nation can hear me. I want pre recorded stuff from nascars finest drivers, and just hick voices for guys you dont wanna pay. Put Dale Jr. on the nascar 2010 cover. Instead of wasteing time with animating the winners lane, just put picks of the guys pretending to celebrate that you actually had photographed.

I loved the celebrate feature only to be pissed it wasn't in the highlight reels. Make driver controls more like radio

Keep in mind you guys are watching a flash video of the demo. The graphics arent going to look like this. Flash compresses videos to look like crap.

The graphics are better on the PS2 from the previous game, but the rest of it sucks. They took away so many features from it.

I heard that if you get a good TV for the Playstation 2 the graphics will improve. A tv such as HDTV fora Plasma TV. So if you think that the NASCAR 08 graphics suck well it jsut depends on what kind of tv you have.

ok ummm $40 for the game on ps2 next to $400+ for a next gen system.....hate to break it to you but not everyone can afford that so some of us have to stick with the previous gen systems so unless you wanna pay for everyone that doesnt have a next gen system stop complaining.

u "heard" the 360 had problems? the only problems are with online racing and that's server issues. PS3 has the same online issues as 360 because the PS3 boards are lit up with guys complaining that the 360 guys got their patch to fix the problems a month ago and they still havent been fixed.

And to all those guys saying they dont have the money to upgrade. I'm assuming ur either too young to get a job or ur a deadbeat. It's not that damn expensive.

@bmstyers Actually PS2 is REALLY Good. Doesn't matter about the graphics as long as you like the game and its fun. I have a PS2 as well and is working on getting enough money to buy a PS3.
