When putting the story together it is NOT focused on homosexual acts, but on oppressing & abusing the stranger/outcast. To discriminate on outsiders who are weak. In ancient cultures, rape was used by groups to show domination over others. This is what rape is about in anycase, but when done by groups, it is mostly to target the outsider. We see this still in prisons, also in tribal cultures that exist today where the daughters are gangraped by dominating families to disgrace weaker families
In 29:33 you can see that Lot is hurt because his guests were mistreated. 'Thus when Our messengers came to Lot, they were mistreated, and he was embarrassed towards them. They said, "Do not fear, and do not be saddened. We will save you and your family, except for your wife; she is of those doomed."'
In 15:68 He said, "These are my guests, so do not embarrass me!"
In 15:70 The people of Lot clearly are discriminators: 'They said, "Did we not forbid you from outsiders?"' continued...
In 11:78 it is said that the people of Lot already approached 'al-sayyaati', which means to tyrannize people, to commit true evil.
And then in the verse Lot says:'do not disgrace me regarding my guests'. In 11:83 and 29:31 the people of Lot are comdemned because they are 'al-Thzallimeen', the oppressors. continued...
Also, in 38:13 the people of Lot are put next to the people of Thamud and Madyan, because they denied/disbelieved the warnings and demands for reform by their messengers. Ibn Hazm, the famous Qur'an commentator from 1400, also says that the crime of the people of Lot was that of any other punished people in the Qur'an: Kufr, unbelief in the demand for reform.
Read the book of Jasher to these people evil was good, and good is evil. They killed people for giving to the poor, and hungry. They tortured those who entered the city, and nobody who lived around those cities wanted to travel there. This is Sodom, and Gomorrah also Zoar nearby. Lot just happened to live there, but try being a man of God in a place like that how was he able to do it. One of his daughters was killed for feeding a starving man.
Archaeological evidence (such as round pieces containing 98% sulphur embedded into obviously man-made structures) has been discovered to support this story. Some like to contend that the sulphur merely came from a volcano, but there are two problems with that theory: 1) no known volcanoes in the area and 2) the content of sulphur found in pieces from volcanoes doesn't exceed more than approximately 40%. Also, the balls of 98% sulphur found at the site are said to exist nowhere else in the world.
well...we donot need to figth..but we much know that thing maybe will hapen soon in,America,holland,mexico,argentina,and all nations who allow gay/lesbian have legal meried...just wait what gona hapen.
LOOK guys there is no need to fight. Homosexuality is COMPLETLY, i mean COMPLETLEY forbidden in all Abrahamic religons. Not only in islam. You guys should read the The Ten commandments that Allah sent down for jews and then Christains and lastly Muslims. There is no way that A**l Sex is allowed in ISLAM. Do more reasearch on it and you will get your answer.

But, why is someone a homosexual? Do you think sexual orientation is chosen? I'm saying this because it would have been more simple to be straight. Thus, what should someone having exclusive same sex attractions do? Getting married to some1 of the opposite sex? Wat if he can't satisfy his opposite partner sexually??? Thus, may be there is room for interpretation that the people of Lot were merely involved in MALE RAPE!!!!!!!!!!!

Being gay and screwing everyone in the city was not the only reason they were destroyed.

They really were perverse.
Look at the world now tho- for every reason Allah destroyed nations in the past, their disobediances is only thriving nowadays;
treachery, rape, homosexuality, polythesim, genocide, killing baby girls--
and loads more.
But people see it as 'normal' nowadays. Its disgusting.
