  • Go Hugo Chavez. Help the poor.

  • Someimes i feel that journeymanpictures has an agenda it needs to deliver on,but now i am sure.

  • here in vzla, we afront serious troubles, just watch the number of assassinations product of criminality:

    16.407 deads in 2010

19.133 deads in 2009 this in fact its worse that japan earthquake, chavez is a weapon of mass destruction.. for is own people

  • the quality of life in Venezuela has so dramatically declined in the past 10 years in all senses

  • chavez is a liar, corrupt, and similar to fidel castro

he broke venezuela in all sense....

  • Obama LOVES Chavez. He wants what he got.

  • The people who made this "documentary" are so full of their idealism that they cant see the reality. Anybody who knows Venezuela can see that Chavez has finished with every productive part of the country. He has made the situation far worse for everybody, INCLUDING his supporters. I don't even need to make an argument. Just go there and see how many people are being kidnapped, how people can't afford basic necessities, how even the airport workers ask you about what there is to do in your contry

  • what do you prefer a socialism where we are all equal or a "one world goberment" where we are going to be slaves of the rich and powerful people

  • What a stupid conclusion of this documentary. Makes me laugh the fact they wonder "how revolution helps the people" I tell you how. By teaching 'em what they must not do. Problems can't be solved just by ONE revolution. Former governments did so much damage and the result is the progressive degradation of people's life no matter whos in charge. Yet you can see people like Gasolina who believe things'll change. They got nothing, so they have faith, contrary to the wealthy. Who's in the right way?

  • Eva Golinger rightfully calls to our attention that only in recent years the corporate media conglomerate (this one is no exception - Rupert Murdoch?) has taken some interest in the poor of any country, and is only because of their preying eyes and hands on the black gold of Venezuela. Colombia and Mexico are far worse in social issues, but their crooked gov. are nafta sell-offs, allies/puppets to the empire.

  • I can't righfully compare because I have never lived in Mexico or Colombia, what I can tell you is that the quality of life in Venezuela has so dramatically declined in the past 10 years that no one could ever speak postively of comunism after living in Venezuela... I believe that every society needs some level of socialism.. it is undeniable... but what happens in Venezuela is point black dictatorship with a facade of democracy... and no.. the people do not benefit... only a select group..

  • Wow, this video really presents the revolution as beautiful... If I didn't know better, I would think that Venezuela has actually profited from all of these programs... Reality is Venezuela has never been more dangerous, more violent, poorer... And that poor lady can sit and wait because the money for her rancho went to Cuba or perhaps to Bolivia

  • In the past years, money went to the pockets of your governors, and you had to be shut up nder the risk of getting killed, thanks. So it was just a matter of time things got worse like they are now. The difference is that now, theres a lot of information of venezuela around whereas in the past, there was none...probably because it wasnt that convenient, you know?

  • I don't argue about the level of corruption of past governors... I am speaking about safety and what I observe not in the news but as a citizen.. I speak as one who grew up in a very different Venezuela than what we have now... I completely agree that Venezuela has been under one corrupt grovernment after another for the past 50 years...I would even buy that things were supposed to get worse... the problem is that now we have a goverment that claims that things have improved... nothing has

  • hmmm...maybe. Even if nothing has changed, the "virus" of former lifestyle still lives inside the brains of people, let's say: you grew up in a different venezuela...VIRUS! Fight for the past to come back? Wrong. Today is today. Before was no better, is was just a part of the hill. Still, i think about poor people's hopes, what make them have hopes? The lack of money? Have they improved on a certain way different from economical improvement? because that'd be REALLY imortant! think about that...

  • FUCK HUGO CHAVEZ!!!! DICTATOR! He only wants to give himself power. we dont play that shit in the USA bitches. Let chavez's bitch ass come to america with his bullshit and im sure he will find a line of people waiting to shove their ar-15s up his ass!

  • @convertibleboy I SUPPORT YOU. FUCK Chavez!! Son of a bitch.

  • maldito chaveeeeeeeeez ihueputa ,mentiroso

  • hey koroke how can you say spanish speaking countries suck you arrogant prick

  • Socialism does work. It was created as a way to trick the poor, the meek, and the unable into thinking they were equal. Once in power, the Socialist let everyone in on the joke and actually segregate people worse. Socialism does exactly what they wanted.

  • It's funny how the western official maSonic media and other "humanitarian"private western reporters and "free-thinkers"are getting now really strong feelings of care for the poor venezuelan...and it's funny how they try to handle the"Chavez issue"...why all this attenction on Venezuela and not Mexico's social problems...(for example...)...probably because US where able to FAKE the elections in Mexico and mantain control on the issue of monetary market&valuta?

  • Because all of Mexicos social problems now live in Orange County.

  • This is a great video. I have been to caracas and wondered what life was like for ppl living in those barrios, what the government is like etc. This video is very informative.

  • spanish speaking countries is hella poor, btw.

Oh Spain is developed country, but still spanish speaking countries sucks!corruption and poverty rules these countries in latin americas

  • Obviously language is not the point.

    Goverment & people are.

There were a lot of places in the nowadays U.S.A. which were part of Spain not so long time ago. Today, those places are part of U.S.A. due to the Main submarine.

This submarine was anihilated by USA Gov but they said it was cause of Spanish gov. So, Spain decided to give territories to USA and not to get into a war.

    USA = BELLIC COUNTRY!

Almost 50% of USA people can speak Spanish.

It is better to be poor than a killer.

  • somebody please hurry and kill Chavez before he starts WW3 with all the weapons he keeps buying, spend billions this year while his people are kept poor with the crime rate souring...death to chavez, Viva Free Venezuelans, you beautiful people dont deserve the fate this terrible man has in store.

  • hey everyone, wonder why hugocaracas2021 is so defensive about this, well just check out his profile, he praises Mao,Stalin and Pol Pot..LOL...these piece of crap mass murders killed over 100 million of thier own people without ever going to war,a death total higher than ALL the wars of the 20th century...communism is evil,it puts one man in total control of a country forever...for morons like hugocaracas2021 to praise...go to hell with your evil party of death.

  • @communismISdeath The banking system fell to break

went to cry to Papa State

    little shame, lots of cynicism,

    in the funeral of capitalism.

    --

Capitalism is evil and today in 2011, nobody believes it it anymore. The world population is suffering infinite miseries, the capitalist countries are bankrupt for having lead a ficticious way of life as if resources were limitless. The point has been reached where the lie cannot be hideen anymore. Communism arises as the only solution. Long live Stalin!

  • @phpciphreak yeah, you're a total nutjob

  • I know. Actions and history speak louder than words.

  • Chavez said in a '99 interview that he wasn't a socialist. What a lying pig-faced ass he's shown himself to be!

  • Fascist lies!!! Here we need a fist of iron against capitalism and the corupt bourgois oligarcs!! Chavez give the poor dignity. I have a Homer now and before not even one car - and agreta apartament. So fuck you if you don know anything. Chavez rocks! Venezuelan stalinism rocks! Live Mao, Pol Pot & Chjavez forever! âfuera oligarcs, intelectuales and capitalist bourgois!

  • Oh shut up, you totalitarian cry-baby! You don't deserve anybody else's money! It's nobody else's fault that you can't balance your checkbook! Chavez can burn in hell, for all I care!

  • What tf you talkin about? Our country rocks now with Comander Chavez! Before Chavez no house no car. Now I have a great house and the best car (Hummer!!!). We doing fine, never more money. So you might cry, but me I'm laughing so hard at you capitalist scums

  • Oh, I'm sure you are! Because you'd get arrested and thrown in jail if you didn't praise that pig-faced dick!

Me, I can laugh AT him and mock Chavez aalllllll I want, and you can do nothing about it! HAHAHAHA!

  • Hey go ahead and laugh - that an idiots priviledge. Your shitforbrain president really is a good coemdian so enjoy him and laugh. I love Venezuela dn I loev Chavez so I been laughing a lot lately, especially now I got so much money! Hahahahah!

  • Oh, I don't just laugh at your pig-faced dicktator, but at YOU! I'm laughing because everything I own, I EARNED! I own my stuff because of ME! You, however, are such a weakling that you have to depend on someone ELSE to give it to you!

But, if you want a good laugh, here's a video of Chavez getting raped by a donkey!

    watch?v=kl7P1kXuRfQ

  • Yeah, I earned my fortune real hard too. Had to work being poor for yars and study damn hard. Now I have success thansk to Chavez and same for all my freinds from poor towns. I guess I did not have your disadvantage of being a dumn Texn tho.

Chavez yesterday won 50% of the voters and 70% of local gvernment - that show just how much support our president have!!!

  • You still needed Chavecheese to bail your sorry ass out! I need nobody.

I'm not impressed by your fixed votes. People are fired and lose their jobs for not voting for him, so I still despise your evil fucking government.

  • Dont worry friend. Chavez WILL be president for 100 years! All Venezuela wants the Comander as President forever and him to rule with the iron fist of revolusionary stalinism. Elections are in the past for us now, voting does not have relevancy. Chavez IS the people, the only true reprsent and must stay in power foerever, without the fascist oligarcy able to topple him. Viva el Comandante Chavez!!! Viva el estalinismo bolivariano!!!

  • look towards all other socialist nations, they have abandon that bs along time ago. Don't confuse nationalism with socialism, since they are not the same. look at china and there economic system they are communist on paper but long ago relized that the only way to improve the peopels lives is to free up markets and peoples ability to create and invest and have security, not cut off markets and use the state with a crutch on oil as the main source of growth,Central planning failed a long time ago

  • What saddens me is the fact that people have no drive to succeed or to amass anything more then their immediate needs. That lady with a hole in the roof and half the house falling on t he slope is content because Chavez is giving her a loaf of bread for a meal? Do you realize that, that's less then .05% of what he makes from oil? You obviously have no idea what it is to live and expect more from life. You deserve nothing because if it wasn't for Chavez's handouts you'd have NOTHING!

  • Nice comment i agree... these people praise a clown who sings and talks for 5 hours and are only preoccupied with their immediate needs. its sort of a new age peasant thought. If Chavez were smarter he would of invested heavily in infrastructure, IT, finance, and health care. Although the benefits would not be apparent they would create a stable source of jobs and a expanded economy later on. i guess he prefers highly visible projects rather than those of pressing importance.

  • @ForzaJuve001 It's not as simple as that. Some people have been beaten down mentally living in their poor conditions that they don't see themselves getting out of it. You have to ENCOURAGE and give people OPPORTUNITY to have a drive and succeed. You have to also educate them. A lacking education and people will obviously accept life as it is.

  • @ForzaJuve001 Before Chavez, people were dying on the streets of famine and infections while the holders of PDVSA rolled their bodies over with their BMW. What you, sick twisted bastard want is cummulate more wealth so that you can live in a castle while others dies outside the walls of your palace. Communism distributes wealth in order to avoid those ignominies.

  • @phpciphreak Bad news, people are still dying of starvation in Venezuela.. More bad news, now that the former holders of PDVSA are gone, those BMW's are owned by the high officers of the current administration...

You are right when you say that social justice was needed before Chavez, but there are many better ways to deliver that justice, ways that don't involve oppression, communism or giving our resources to Chinese/Iranian/Russian contractors while leaving our own people out of the game.

  • Viva LA REVOLUCIÓN!!

    Viva Commandante Hugo Chavez!

  • los escualidos propaganda film #1

  • vamos Chavez,

  • People love Chavez because he throws them crumbs of the vast amount of money the country now has, and crumbs are more than most of the people have ever seen, but its not enough. People mistakenly think the opposition wants the country back as it was before but this is not true. Change is much needed but needs to be done right, and most importantly: Sustainable. If oil prices drop, the economy will fall apart.

  • Finally a somewhat balanced view of what partially is really going on in my country, unfortunately the other side of the story, which would give a more complete picture, seems to be missing. Thank you...

  • Thank you for your comment for a complete picture in Venezuela. I am always interested in the situation in your contry because there are some similarities between Venezuela and taiwan, which i was born in but nobody really cares today.

  • i apply for a loan here in the u.s for 5 thousand and i was never qualify so what the fuck is the prostitute complaining about

  • they people who made this video should make a video of the USA where people dont have money to pay for gas in winter. they should make a movie about katrina and all the poor blacks in USA

  • well said williethebandit

  • What i liked about that film was that it showed that hopes and energys were woken in the poor. Those people trust chavec because they see him as the personification of these energys. this migth make them bilnd for chavez bad tendencies.

not everything that shines is gold

and not everything that stinks is shit.

  • this person should make a video of all the poor white people in he usa who are in jail, drug addicts, and health insurance, his is all propaganda bullshit. they should make a vidoe of how they spend billions on wars but dont help the poor in the USA.

  • i don't think it is posibile to get an objectiv view on what happens in venezuela neiter to disuss this issue in a constructiv way.

Pro-chavez people belive everything the goverment says and who just see the projection of their socialist ideals.

anti-chavec people migth have good reasons to criticise him, but make themself lose every credibility when they compare chavez with hitler or castro.

  • True

  • I feel kind of bad for the supporters of Chavez like Gasolina because they just hoped to make their life better when Chavez was actually using them for seizing political power.

  • Oh my God! these people really believe Chavez has stopped corruption in Venezuela!!!!!!!! Ignorance doesn't have limits in Venezuela Chavez is the worst corrupt of the world

  • The foreign based capitalist speculators & exploiters, are mad at Chavez, he has stopped their thievery in Venezuela. These people, just like the criminal Oligarchs in Russia, Putin has been dealing, are not use to not getting their way 100% of the time. They retaliate in every way imaginable, such as this video.

  • Look just where years of democracy get us - to nowhere. That is why we need "hard hand" rule and why Venezuelan peoples elict Chavez by democracy - again and again. Viav Chavez! Viva la Revolucion! Viva Fidel!

  • You and the likes of you are hard core fascists. Be certain that you will not get very far with the pigs you follow. Go now and salute your el Presidente (or should I say Fuehrer?) only to burry yourself deeper in your own grave

"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety deserve neither Liberty nor Safety". Benjamin Franklin

  • Of course yes Chavez is a dictador but some times it is needed authority and power to make a revolution happen. Even Lenin and Trotski say that some times by a dictador and some violence is the only way. This poltics have been supported by the Venezuelan peoples and we want Chavez politics.

  • Few doubt that Chavez won a series of elections but you would have to be extraordinarily blind to believe he is democrat. Hitler came to power by election and many also touted him as a democrat. In the Soviet Union the Communist Part regularly obtained over 99% of the vote in elections. So Hitler and Stalin were democrats too.

  • SpecterRED, read the history books: a landslide election victory does not make a government democratic. If that were the case, Hitler would be a democrat. What makes a democracy is listening to the electorate, being fully accountable, behaving transparently, avoiding cronyism, opening up Parliament, not politicizing the armed forces, not threatening those who dissent, none of which Chavez has done.

  • Then why have Venezuelans reelected him time and time again? The majority of Venezuelans want him as their president, a minority want someone else. That is the essence of democracy.

  • The issue, and what the video deals with, is not whether Chavez was elected President. He was, and more than once. The problem is that Chavez is unmistakeably a totalitarian leader under whom corruption had flourished. As a supporter of many Chavez policies, when I and others tried to suppport by denouncing corruption in the FUS, we were fired. That is not democracy. The people involved are high level government officials.

  • I think you need to come back and check again, the shortage of food is something terrible. No meat, sugar, beans, etc.

  • Why? Our Congress and Electoral Council are 100% pro-Chavez, our Public Prosecutor is an ex-Vice President for Chavez, our Vice-President is ex-head of the Electoral Council, our Supreme Court judges are pro-Chavez, the armed forces are being purged of non Chavez supporters and those who do not agree with Chavez are illegally fired from State employment. Now we rule by direct decree and move towards a single party State.

  • Chavez was elected president with 60% of the popular vote of Venezuela. The Polo Patriotico (pro chavez party you mentioned) was elected to 75% of the Constitutional Assembly and 66% on the following set of elections. In each case these representatives are elected by the people of Venezuela. I'd hardly call that a dictatorship.

  • Direct decree was only for 1 year back in 2001. Chavez has requested it again, however it is in the hands of the constitutional assembly (elected by the people) to give that authority. Either way, Chavez has not had the power to decree since '01.

  • Yes the producers have tried to be fair I think. What this video does not mention and is the most important factor is that Chavez is a totalitarian leader. This is NOT democracy.

  • I agree, i looked for the definition of "dictator" in the dictionary and it was like reading a newspaper. I live here and i don't want to grow old in "Cuba".

  • A pretty fair and balanced summary. I wouldn't give Reynaldo a long life expectancy if he keeps denouncing corruption though! Social and trade union leaders, students and human rights activists are disappearing left and right...

  • Once again some Immature American Journalist trying to find the smallest of cracks in the society and split people. Truely sick..

  • Why? what to do then? should we forget about people who are in need? SEAL THE CRACK? I live here and if you read every single economic report you would realiza that almost 9 years later our economy is the worse in history and oil prices have gone up 9 times since he's president. External debt, poverty, medican attention, criminality, you name it.

  • there's an independent firm called "Datos Information Resources" which records and monitors statistics in Venezuela. I find it strikingly odd that they report that all these metrics you mentioned have actually improved since Chavez became president.

  • Well i don't know that institute, maybe it's a Chavez funded organisation. But i do know this, THE OFFICIAL source for venezuelan statistics is the responsible for giving the apropriate data to world recognised organisations (UN, WB, IDB, IMF, etc) and those reports are the ones that really count at the end. I wonder how much a cuban spy earns a month?
