I am in tears after watching this video. It's deplorable the way those people treated that beautiful, vibrant, intelligent creature of God. I have a 5 month old Blue and Gold that I adore. He's so loving and smart and so worthy of being treated lovingly and deserves the best care that I can give him. Thank you for stepping in on behalf of a helpless bird and making her last days full of love and companionship and not starvation, dehydration and smoke. You will be blessed.
Thank you so much for sending this video as a response to "Macaw Betty in Parakeet Cage 17 Years". I am honored to accept it. I have seen this video before, & I am surprised that there is no comment from me. It must be because I couldn't see for my tears. I am so glad that you saved Cindy from such a dreadful life. I hope your life will always be blessed for such a magnificent effort in rescuing Cindy. I wish everyone had a heart like you.
I am so sorry for your loss. I just stumbled on this video and I am crying for Cindy and for your loss. She died entirely too young. I hope that people will learn from Cindy's story and if they choose to bring a parrot into their home, I hope they will learn the enormous responsibility that comes with owning and caring for one of God's most special creatures.
well done video! im so sorry she couldnt fully heal, but very glad someone like you was there for her and gave her a very good remaining time on earth. bless you for your compassion. i hope the formaer owners were made accountable and learned a valuable lesson.
Ohhhh Debbie I am so sorry about Cindy. Brad came home today from the vet and said he seen you there. We both sat here and cried too! I am NOT looking forward to Aria and Yoko's days at end either.
I'm sure you wouldn't trade your time with her for anything. You did what was right by her and all your flock.
Oh Deb - I just watched this and also had my husband watch it. I am still crying. It was so beautiful. What a beautiful little angel. I remember when you were going through the custody battle. She may not have had a lot of years, but her last four were wonderful and she knew love. Thank you for that.
She was beautiful. Thank gosh you took her in. I do not know why people get a bird or any animal and then abuse them. I hope all of the abusers in the world get turned away at the pearly gates when it comes time for them to meet their maker!!!
this is sad . why do people get animals and take care of them ?

This was terrible what Cindy had to endure..... At least she knew love in her final years. I salute you for that.

Just sitting here watching my baby girl. I miss you so much. It's been over a year and I still ache. You deserved so much more than to die this way.
I take comfort in knowing you are flying free and breathing deeply. See you at the bridge baby.
