@ShailaGal Any bird can bite, and parrots can put a lot of force behind it, if they choose to. Caiques, however, do what is usually called "beaking." They put their mouths on everything non-stop, including fingers. It's just part of the species. You can't train them out of it, so you basically have to teach them limits. It's not entirely unlike teaching a puppy bite inhibition. It just takes patience and time.

@hamstercarechannel Very cool! Don't you just love Caiques? They have got to be the cuddliest and funny little clowns of the parrot family. We own several different types of parrots and parakeets (12 in all) and the Caiques are our resident clowns! Glad you enjoy my video. Birdie pecks n' kisses to your "Mae" from Pooter! ;)

Thanks for the comments. The name Caique is pronounced "Ki" (as in kite) then "eek" (as in seek) if that makes sense.
