Faith does save us. Faith without works is dead. Most protestants with any sense would agree that if you don't REPENT you are not saved. Jesus said many times to REPENT. If you REPENT the works come naturally.
St Paul tells us that if we have all FAITH as to move mountains but have not LOVE our FAITH is useless (1 Cor 13). Paul tells us what true faith is; it is faith working itself out in love (Gal 5:6). St james is also clear faith without works is dead (james 2). Problem with protestantism is that they redifine faith to mean intellectual consent to facts. Salvation is also redifined to mean justification, which is also misunderstood

We can not oversimplify religion because that is dangerous. If we do then we forget of our true duties as Christians and that God wants us to be active in His Church through Sacraments. I also have a problem with those fundamentalist and radicals who believe that God hates homosexuals and all those who do not follow his word but I say that is not true. The God I know is loving and merciful and everyone is welcomed in His Kingdom. That is the true teaching of our Father.
This guy said that Catholics are trying to reach the same glory that Jesus Christ has but that is not true because we will never be like Him because He is the Human image of God on Earth. Everyday we pray to our Lord that he may guide us to the right path and I do believe we have to work for Salvation through good deeds and living a true Christian life. I am a Soul saved by God's mercy & Grace through his son Jesus Christ. I prayed to God to save me and I confessed my sins directly to God my Father and his Son Jesus Christ. What more is there? I read my Bible that tells me through the voice of God through his Holy Spirit to live my life according to His word not mans. I have done my best to fight the good fight and be a good example and witness to others the truth that I have found in Jesus Christ. Why must I now work to be saved?

The many denominations in Christianity today prove that the Bible can't be interpreted without the interpretations of the Early Church..

You get your concept of truth merely from personal interpretation. Protestantism and its heresiarchs lack the truth. To those heretics, truth is relative. Was not Paul merely a part of the Church? Hardly how we would expect a man of God to refer to Scripture, but it must be annoying when the Word of God intereferes with one's own innovations in the faith.
It is apparent that Roman Catholics to this day still cannot read the Scriptures in their proper context. Our beloved brother James in his letter, is clearly speaking of our 'faith' being shown by 'our works'. Note the context that is given James 2:14-17. 'Sola Fide' that is 'faith alone' is a Doctrine we exegete from the Scriptures in their totality. Romanists like to quote Scripture out of context. Satan can do this as well (Mt.4:6; Lk.4:10)

St Paul tells us that if we have all FAITH as to move mountains but have not LOVE our FAITH is useless (1 Cor 13). Paul tells us what true faith is; it is faith working itself out in love (Gal 5:6). St james is also clear faith without works is dead (james 2). Problem with protestantism is that they redifine faith to mean intellectual consent to facts. Salvation is also redifined to mean justification, which is also misunderstood

We can not oversimplify religion because that is dangerous. If we do then we forget of our true duties as Christians and that God wants us to be active in His Church through Sacraments. I also have a problem with those fundamentalist and radicals who believe that God hates homosexuals and all those who do not follow his word but I say that is not true. The God I know is loving and merciful and everyone is welcomed in His Kingdom. That is the true teaching of our Father.

I read my Bible that tells me through the voice of God through his Holy Spirit to live my life according to His word not mans. @TR5T The point is, Catholic Biblical Interpretations are unchanged since Apostolic times. The point is, the Bible was explained by the Apostles, to the Early Church. The many denominations in Christianity today prove that the Bible can't be interpreted without the interpretations of the Early Church..
You won't find Protestant doctrines in their writings. No Bible Alone or Faith Alone. Protestantism was invented by Luther in 1517, and never heard of before 1517. Find proof and I'll convert.

@TR5T If you believe in Scripture alone, by what authority have those scriptures been translated and transferred. You do not have a living Magesterium, a Body of Christ (the Church). You get your concept of truth merely from personal interpretation. Protestantism and its heresiarchs lack the truth. To those heretics, truth is relative. Was not Paul merely a part of the Church? And John, James, Mark, Luke, Jude, etc? Calvin, Luther, etc, have fallen from grace and truth, rejecting God.

It cannot be proven that the Catholic Church is solely responsible for the gathering and selection of the New Testament books. In fact, it can be shown that the New Testament books were gathered into one volume and were in circulation long before the Catholic Church claims to have taken its action in 390 at the council of Hippo.

It takes no vote or sanction of a council to make the books of the Bible authoritative. Men were able to rightly discern which books were inspired before the existence of ecclesiastical councils and men can do so today....

The fact is that the church was "corrupt" and yes Luther did "make" millions of sects ( ok maybe a slight exageration)
Now God is all powerful and almighty -- he can do anything.
And yet God did nothing to stop Luther ( which would have been extremely easy for him to do.)
So either God wanted his church to be split up or more likely God is powerless to do anything about it ( because he dosent exist)

- Why didn't God stop Luther? because WE ARE ALL FREE to do whatever we want. In DEATH Luther will pay for what he did (like... right now, for instance)

Praise God the Pope is not a protestant. Praise God He still speaks for Christ. It must be convenient to invent whatever doctrine/theology that best suits the lifestyle you wish to lead. We Catholics go to the store to find what we best like to eat. Protestants go church shopping for the one that best aligns with how they want to live. There needs to be a Mall of America just with a bunch of protestant churches and mutilated Bibles to choose from - that would be even more convenient, eh?

This is the passage that Luther added the word "alone" to in order to twist it's meaning, yes?
James 2:20 - "Faith without works is dead"
Small wonder Luther despised the book of James, calling it an "Epistle of straw".
Hardly how we would expect a man of God to refer to Scripture, but it must be annoying when the Word of God intereferes with one's own innovations in the faith.

It is apparent that Roman Catholics to this day still cannot read the Scriptures in their proper context. Our beloved brother James in his letter, is clearly speaking of our 'faith' being shown by 'our works'. Note the context that is given James 2:14-17. 'Sola Fide' that is 'faith alone' is a Doctrine we exegete from the Scriptures in their totality. Romanists like to quote Scripture out of context. Satan can do this as well (Mt.4:6; Lk.4:10)
