If you haven't personally been there and witnessed this, do you really think you should be commenting? I have been there. There's no slope. Those who say it's nothing because it's an "optical illusion" don't know what they're talking about. Of course it's an optical illusion, but that's what makes it something, not nothing. Why the illusion? If it's so simple, why doesn't someone else replicate it elsewhere?
dude. people who are doubting this are morons. i've been there. there is no slope. my brother and i had this effect demonstrated on us and we literally changed sizes. yes, it's mind boggling and impossible to explain with our current level of understanding but IT IS REAL.
What about things rolling uphill? What about people with inner ear problems who can't stay in that shack? Don't be so Mr Science people. Sometimes there IS something more to it.
It seems like the right post is further away from the camera...and probably a bit downhill too...and the cabin (the one from the other video) had been built in an angle.I can build something like that in my garden and then I'll post it here on youtube.
I took her plate and fastened the two laser pointers shone parallel to the direction of the pointers I gave myself 1.5 m sweat with them I light the girl on the left side and then on the right.
Was the camera equidistance between the two posts? It doesn't look like it because you can see the inside of the right-hand post and you're almost square to the left-hand post. In other words, the distance from your camera to the post on the right is farther than the distance from your camera to the post on the left. Things get smaller the farther away they are. The stick is merely following the perspective.
@livebigly Yes the camera was equidistance from the two posts. Look at the board on the ground; notice it is parallel with the bottom of the video,I purposely made sure it was. But the poles and people are not the same size even though, when measured, it is.Also, the distance from the camera is only like 8-9 feet, not enough to create that much of a perspective change. The effect is the same no matter where or how you stand, I just put the camera there cause there was a fence to rest it on.
@sonikbaby Can't you be parallel to the board on the ground and still not be equal distance to each post? Imagine looking down from above. You form a triangle: 2 posts + the camera. The only way for the camera to be equal distance to the posts is to form an isosceles triangle, which means the angles at each post would be equal - you'd see the inside of both posts, assuming the posts are set parallel to each other. Perspective changes when those angles become unequal. That's my thinking, anyway.
@sonikbaby that the board is parallel to the bottom of the video does not mean it's equidistance. Take any ames room photo. In most cases a line that would connect the feet of two people on different sides of the room is parallel to the bottom of the video. Yet the people are not equidistance. It's because there is a slope which is hidden by the optical illusion. Same thing here.
Ok.....the right post is downhill to the left post. What is the mystery? Do you really think you're magically growing and shrinking as you walk between the posts?
the ground wasnt same level... the wall (i dont wat was that supposed to b called) they lean is not straight.. this is what we call OPTIC ILLUSIONS.... the same tactics used by the most great magician David Copperfield..

i can look at the fence behind them. Its running down hill to the right. The same for the ground across that ditch. In order for the trees to be lvl they are leaning to the left fightin the slope.I have never been there but would love to go.From what i see in this video it looks to me like the ground is sloping downhill running from left to right.
@igrenade If you look at the angle of the wood their holding at 0:43 and compare that to the angle of the ground sloping, you will find the two do not match. Have you been there yourself?

just compare the 0:16 with 0:42 second it's exacly the same. In my opinion it's just optical illusion.

There is a change of hight however it is exagerated in this COPYWRITED video! as it's not centered.

the right poles was obviously tilted at much lower angle.

No it's not a slope. Personally took a level and checked both the ground and the two poles they are absolutely straight. That's the whole mystery.
