i feel so identified with u XDDD well in my case, i'm half chinese... so my hair at first was very straight (until i was 8 or sth) and i would curl it once in a while.then when i was 10 i got reaaally curly hair... (it was like i mutated) and i would straighten it almost every 3 days... in the end it got VERY damaged and i lost a lot of hair and its not as thick as it was :(.

I too suffer from hair loss, but I have taken the all-natural approach and it has been working. I'm still not there yet, but I'm getting there. So, congrats to you finding your way back to nice hair. One thing I would recommend though is trying a homemade deep conditioner. There are a lot of recipes on Youtube. I recommend Bubzbeauty. That probably will get your back to being thick.
I know you have to respect your elders and I do, but this is one reason why I secretly hate my elderly relatives. Whenever something happens, they say such rude things to you and then they bash your parents for allowing you to get that way. Then they tell everyone else in the family about it. It's like seriously, did your mother not teach you that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. My elderly relatives don't have manners. x(

@CadenceStarrr You should do a blood test and see you're ferritin rate . If it's too low ( under 40 ngr/ ml ) , that pretty sure that you're in anemia . It's really common after and during being pregnant .

When I was about 7 all of my hair fell out in one weeks time. My parents took me to the dermatologist who told me I had alopecia areata. My Dr. told me that the cause was stress and prescribed me a prelone syrup and a topical steroid which were both very pricey. It took 2 1/2 years of treatments but eventually my hair grew back very thick, but I wouldn't recommend the syrup for 2 reasons, oral steroids are really bad for the bones, and it made me gain weight. But hey, to each his own!
Great video, it made me feel a hell of alot better about my bald spots lol, it felt like they were never gonna go away but I feel alot calmer knowing it's less than a year before they'll grow back in enough to cut it short. Ahh man. My hair was very thick when I was little. When I turned 15, I dyed my hair a couple shades lighter. Just once. Never really used heat on it. But after that, my hair started thinning like crazy. I am 18 now and my hair is still thin. My scalp shows all over when my hair is wet, and when it is dry, I only have a couple of bald spots. Does anyone know what I can do? I have been putting oil in, I tried Rogaine, I've been taking supplements for 3 years and they don't work :(
@xXblythe Have you seen a dermatologist? It really sounds like alopecia areata. I mean, do you have some real bald spots on your scalp? Rogaine does not work for patchy hair loss, just female pattern baldness.
Also it sounds like you bleached your hair and that can damage your hair and it can break off. But I don't know if it really causes it to fall out.
@XxMorbidXButterflyxX I've gone to two dermatologists and one told my I have female pattern baldness but everyone else I know is like "that's ridiculous". I saw a regular doctor and he told me to just keep taking vitamins and stay patient. I really have no idea why it hasn't improved though. Thanks for answering me though, so sweet x x
@xXblythe Hey! Biotin supplements. Get them. The make the world of a difference for hair (and nails). Seriously I swear by it. By drink lots of water too, its clone to clog your pose and therefore cause acne. but My god its a wonder supplement. Also, Castor oil and sweet almond oil are known for promoting hair growth! You can google this if you want, but Ive used castor oil for hair growth and it really works. Make sure youre diet is balanced too, at least take a multivitamin a day. goodluck !
@xXblythe hi, it seems your story is very similar to mine. Have you tried audace? It works wonder for me. And try not to use conditioner, sometimes the oil content makes your hair fall frequently, and please try not to blow dry your hair. I couldnt tell u just how much blow drying damaged my hair. And also, if you have oily scalp, wash it once everyday.
@xXblythe Hi, have you tried seeing a doctor about your scalp problem? You might have an iron deficiency which can be helped by taking iron pills prescribed by your doctor or even from a drug store. However I would check with your doctor first. Hair will also be lost even more if your hair is too oily or dry. Oil clogs the pores in your scalp. If this is the issue try a normalizing shampoo. Also, Sodium Lauryth Sulfate has been linked to hair loss, try a shampoo that does not contain this.
@xXblythe Also in addition to what I have said, avoid leaving your hair in a pony tail or other hairstyles that pull on the strands. If hair is constantly being pulled it can result in permanent hair loss. The term that defines this is called 'traction alopecia'. @SuperAcidgirl your dandruff problem could be because you use to agressive shampoos, anti-dandruff shampoo are very agressive too! Try using a mild shampoo with less harsh foaming agents, of perhaps you could even use only conditioner. If the hair loss hasn't reduced, then perhaps there is a hormonal problem or you could have a deficiency of a certain nutrient, then you should contact your doctor.

@CadenceStarrr You should do a blood test and see you're ferritin rate . If it's too low ( under 40 ngr/ ml ) , that pretty sure that you're in anemia . It's really common after and during being pregnant .

those who loose hair should eat alot of fruit and drink alot of water. fruit contains all the vitamins that makes your hair stronger and thicker. dont use to much hair products because they dry out and breaks of hair.

I'm Black and my hair is really curly. I spent years using relaxers trying to get mine to look Iike yours until it feel out. Now I appreciate what I have. I also protect my ends at night. When I was about 7 all of my hair fell out in one weeks time. My parents took me to the dermatologist who told me I had alopecia areata. My Dr. told me that the cause was stress and prescribed me a prelone syrup and a topical steroid which were both very pricey. It took 2 1/2 years of treatments but eventually my hair grew back very thick, but I wouldn't recommend the syrup for 2 reasons, oral steroids are really bad for the bones, and it made me gain weight. But hey, to each his own!

Ahh man. My hair was very thick when I was little. When I turned 15, I dyed my hair a couple shades lighter. Just once. Never really used heat on it. But after that, my hair started thinning like crazy. I am 18 now and my hair is still thin. My scalp shows all over when my hair is wet, and when it is dry, I only have a couple of bald spots. Does anyone know what I can do? I have been putting oil in, I tried Rogaine, I've been taking supplements for 3 years and they don't work :(

@xXblythe Have you seen a dermatologist? It really sounds like alopecia areata. I mean, do you have some real bald spots on your scalp? Rogaine does not work for patchy hair loss, just female pattern baldness.
Also it sounds like you bleached your hair and that can damage your hair and it can break off. But I don't know if it really causes it to fall out.

I saw a regular doctor and he told me to just keep taking vitamins and stay patient. I really have no idea why it hasn't improved though. Thanks for answering me though, so sweet x x

@xXblythe Hey! Biotin supplements. Get them. The make the world of a difference for hair (and nails). Seriously I swear by it. By drink lots of water too, its clone to clog your pose and therefore cause acne. but My god its a wonder supplement. Also, Castor oil and sweet almond oil are known for promoting hair growth! You can google this if you want, but Ive used castor oil for hair growth and it really works. Make sure youre diet is balanced too, at least take a multivitamin a day. goodluck !

@xXblythe hi, it seems your story is very similar to mine. Have you tried audace? It works wonder for me. And try not to use conditioner, sometimes the oil content makes your hair fall frequently, and please try not to blow dry your hair. I couldnt tell u just how much blow drying damaged my hair. And also, if you have oily scalp, wash it once everyday.

@xXblythe Hi, have you tried seeing a doctor about your scalp problem? You might have an iron deficiency which can be helped by taking iron pills prescribed by your doctor or even from a drug store. However I would check with your doctor first. Hair will also be lost even more if your hair is too oily or dry. Oil clogs the pores in your scalp. If this is the issue try a normalizing shampoo. Also, Sodium Lauryth Sulfate has been linked to hair loss, try a shampoo that does not contain this.

@xXblythe Also in addition to what I have said, avoid leaving your hair in a pony tail or other hairstyles that pull on the strands. If hair is constantly being pulled it can result in permanent hair loss. The term that defines this is called 'traction alopecia'. I was told by a hairdresser, that you should put the oil/serum in the hair while it is still wet and after a while put in the heat protecting spray. :)
I had a perm 1½ year ago - biggest mistake of my life!! It took about a year before my hair looked somewhat normal again. A couple of months ago I changed my hair care routine and the difference is amazing!
Here's what I do: Shampoo - 3 times/week, hair repair treatment 2-3 times/week and I use an oil after every wash and I rarely blowdry it.

sounds like you went through some form of Alopecia...happened to my friend and usually the hair grows back by itself.He had a bald spot and then 6 months later it wasnt their anymore...doctor said it was Alopecia. Ahhhh!! I have thinning hair to...so annoying!! i find that using rosemary oil shampoo on your hair realllllly helps. rub it into your scalp in the shower and leave it in for a minute.

Two years ago I started noticing that my hair was falling out at a rapid pace I also noticed I was forming a widows peak, my pony tails felt a lot thinner too. my hair fall has increased tremendously quite recently. my friends say its cause of the anti-dandruff shampoo that i use. i cant stop using it due to heavy dandruff. i've startes havn bald spots in my scalp. my classmates call me 'baldy'. sumbdy please help!!!!!

@SuperAcidgirl your dandruff problem could be because you use to agressive shampoos, anti-dandruff shampoo are very agressive too! Try using a mild shampoo with less harsh foaming agents, of perhaps you could even use only conditioner. If the hair loss hasn't reduced, then perhaps there is a hormonal problem or you could have a deficiency of a certain nutrient, then you should contact your doctor.
