  • This is the episode where Martok has lost his nerve after being held in Dominion captivity so Worf challenges him. Martok wins and gains back his courage and the crew's loyalty.

  • @CrazySue05 "Soldiers Of the Empire," wasn't it?

  • Klingons - The greatest warriors & partiers in the known galaxy !! QiPlaH !

  • moHchu!

  • Dax is the best character ever

  • What episode was this again?

  • This song is in Star Trek online now a Klingon singing while fighting to his honourable death

  • My favorite part of this clip other then the war song is the IKS Rotaran coming about to kick some ass.

  • quite possibly my favorite klingon song in all of star trek :)

  • what to take over the Alpha quadrant? meet the klingons!!! take that dominion!!!

  • "Take my advice Captain, go home and learn to speak Klingon!"

  • makes me want to learn Klingon! Where's my wallet got to get me that Klingon

    dictionary...

  • ugh everybody in my house was singing this at one point lmao i got it stuck in my head and it was awful cause i was like KOOOO KEYLIS KOOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOOO KAKA AKAKAKA-CHOO-COO-COOOO and everybody was like "WTF ARE YOU SINGING"

  • Lyrics:

    Qoy qeylIs puqloD.

    Qoy puqbe'pu'.

    yoHbogh matlhbogh je SuvwI'

    Say'moHchu' may' 'Iw.

    maSuv manong 'ej maHoHchu'.

    nI'be' yInmaj 'ach wovqu'.

batlh maHeghbej 'ej yo' qIjDaq vavpu'ma' DImuv.

    pa' reH maSuvtaHqu'.

    mamevQo'. maSuvtaH. ma'ov.

  • @Ironfist85hu

Any chance of getting that in phonetics?

  • Worf already loved Martok like a brother; what they went through during Worf's trials at the Dominion prison asteroid were enough to bind even the least-likely friends.

He knew the General was better than he was behaving, fought him to bring out his true self and, ultimately, threw the fight to further inspire Martok and the crew.

Maybe I'm becoming a softie in my old age, but it was a bit moving when Worf stopped sexy Dax and said, "Wait," only to watch as the Rotarran's crew embraced him.

  • Qoy qeylIs puqloD

    Qoy puqbe'pu'

ya bo ma bo je' SuvwI'

    Say moH chu may'u

    Qu' DamevQo' maSuvtaH, ma'ov

  • Maqcha!

  • I *always* sing along at this scene. And so should you.

  • @russellkerr I would but even Klingons fear and loath my singing voice...

  • Okay I will have to check out that episode, thanks for the info on the title.

  • General/Chancellor Martok = four-star badass & the best Klingon character ever. EVER.

  • I think I must have missed this episode, as I have no recollection of it.

  • @cathymaid You should definitely track it down - it's an episode called "Soldiers Of The Empire", where Dax & Worf are assigned to General Martok's ship, the Rotarran. They find out it hasn't had a single victory since it set out, because Martok has become cautious, even cowardly, since his escape from a Dominion prison camp. Naturally they help him become an awesome character again, purely through the power of punching and stabbing :)

  • Klingons are vikeings romulans are kind of like knights federation more like civis ferengi mercs bor are I KILL YOU ALL

  • @jabathehutt5555 Klingons are more like Sikhs, have long hair like them, carry swords like them and warriors like them. Romulans are no way Knights nor any other of the races, Ferengi is better like the people in corporations... profit over sanity.

  • It is also my favorite....

  • still getting a chill watchin' Rotaran making a turn :). God help Jem'Hadar

  • Seriously, I want to learn this song to sing whenever the whim comes upon me so that I can smugly sing and no one else will know what the hell I'm singing. Even if someone by chance recognized the sound, I wouldn't care, what's to be shamed of?

  • @EnDiHjobi I sing it all the time, actually, both at home and in the street. Of course, I also use a Pokéwalker and carry a bag with the local Science-Fiction bookshop's logo on it.

    Qoy qeylIS puqloD!

    Qoy puqbe'pu'!

    yoHbogh matlhbogh je SuvwI'

    Say'moHchu' may' 'Iw!

    maSuv, manong 'ej maHoHchu'!

    mamevQo'! maSuvtaH! ma'ov...

  • Wonderfull!

  • "the Jem'Hadar will soon learn to regret this day, who is with me!" -General Martok

  • Martok is one of the coolest characters from all of star trek. I would follow that dude into Hell to do battle, and if he told me to kick satan in the balls; then i would run up and kick the devil in the nuts. Martok is just that badass.

  • Klingons have the best war songs! \m/

  • Today is a good day to die

  • Qa'plah!

  • majQa' means "well done/very good" which in the context of when Martok said it could be something similar to "very good let's do it." I guess.

  • Ah one of the best Klingon moments on any Trek series.

  • What is "MaH Qa'?" (sp?) English Translation plz?

  • Wish i knew... sounds like mach'cha to me.. and Martok says it before too after having given an order.. similar to picard saying engage, or make it so... so what it means is up to debate

  • Engage

  • It's "maqcha," roughly translated as "engage!"

Note, it isn't "majQa'" as someone else claims though both words sound similar. "majQa'" actually sounds like ""maj-KKHA" while "maqcha" sounds like "mahk-cha."

  • I never liked the klingons, but this song is great!!!!

  • they remind me more of vikings personally.

  • @saberswing I think they're like a cross between the best of the Vikings and the Samurai. =)

  • @saberswing praise thor.

  • worf could have kild martok, but he is verry loyal great guy

  • Yes indeed. Worf lost on purpose.

  • To Glorious battle!

  • Needs heavy metal remix. Now.

  • I like this version of the war song WAY better than the one on the game "Star Trek: Klingon"!!!!!!!!!!!

  • martok rocks! this of one of my favorite scenes in ds9 ever!

  • the episode in which kor dies is also epic

  • agreed, and thats why i commented on that scene too:D

  • @Inelein Notice they got him back to play 2 different klingons in enterprise?

  • @Aegrim: Two? I remember him playing that bad-ass guy who stood up to a Klingon judge (and subsequently was sent to Rura Penthe), but I don't remember the second role. I'm too lazy to run to Google, but was he perhaps the commander of the Bird-of-Prey those Augments stole?

  • We Live To Serve THE Empire

    Emperor Martak!

    Klinona

  • How Martok got his groove back. :)

  • Space maori :)

  • LOL ^^ Klingon Haka!

  • this is hard a klingon haka bro. haha. MAORI HARD!!.

  • That's what I was thinking!!!! I saw the episode of "Deadliest Warrior". When it got to the Maori Haka, I thought of this scene!!!

Forget Samurai.... The Klingons were just like the MAORI Warriors!!!!

  • SOUNDS RUSSIAN !

  • Today is a good day to die!!!

  • Long live the Empire!! Qa'pla!!!

  • I want to meet other Star Trek fans :)

  • Me too,but...

  • Hail Martok Hail Worf Qapla'

  • Hello Star Trek fans :) Mopsrolle? I have found this song text before, for many years ago hehe :) I'm a big Star Trek fan too hehe :) Qapla'

  • QA'PLA!!

  • it's from 5x21, "soldiers of the empire"

  • Thank you!

  • @airtightseal is this also the episode where worf gets inducted into the house of martok?

  • What episode is this from?

  • Klingons-space vikings!

  • Phonetical Klingon:

    Koi keh-less pook load.

    Koi Pook beh poo

Yoch bow math bow je shuv wee

    Say moach chyu may ew

Mah shoov, mah nong, ej ma choch chew

Bath ma cheth bejj, ej yo keej dahk

Vaav, poo ma de, muv pa rech, ma shoov tach

Koo ma mev, ko ma shoov tach, ma ov

  • In Klingon-Spelling: Qoy qeylls puqloD Qoy puqbe'pu'. yoHbogh matlhbogh je Suvwl' Say'moHchu' may' lw' maSuv manong 'ej maHoHchu' nl'be' ylnmaj 'ach wovqu'. batlh maHeghbehj 'ej yo' qljDaq vavpu'ma' Dlmuv pa'reH maSuvataHqu' mamevQo'. maSuvtaH. ma'ov.
