For anyone that is critical about both phones, you'll notice screen issues in both phones. Most if not ALL SGS2s have screen issues w/ blobs and/or vertical lines, especially in low-light conditions. The amaze has screen leak from the touch buttons - luckily you can fix the issues in the Amaze, the SGS2 - you cannot.

I went through 5 SGS2s and ALL had the screen issue. Got the Amaze 4G - noticed the screen leak right away, got an app to fix it. Case closed.

I think you have your review wrong... The Amaze does NOT have a 1.5 GB of RAMA, On T-Mobile's website it shows that it has 1 GB RAMA of RAM. & they both have a 2 Megapixel Cam in the front... I have had HTC phone all my life, but I am really gettting sick of HTC, and thinking about giving the SG2 a shot... But, you might want to FIX your review.

i have had both of the phones i started with the amaze and the battery fried two times so i got a free SG S 2 and havent had anything wrong with it and iv had it longer than the Amaze. the SG S2 is a define winner

i have the htc amaze 4g so far i'm loving it with the camera and everything else, but the only downfall is the battery you need to buy a different battery to last for about 6-9 hours. The shitty standard battery only last 3-4 hours =X

I have a the gs2 and i love it I would get it over the amaze 4g any day...and to whoever asked earlier the sgs2 screen is alot more clear, bright, and more vivid than the amaze because the gs2 has a super amoled plus screen compared to the amazes "super lcd" also the gs2 has "gorilla glass" which his scratch and shatter resistant. Also to the guy that made this video you obviously dont know alot about phones and you shouldnt be making reviews on things you really dont know

Only 10 hours of battery on amaze? I get over 24! Also it can so take screen shots power then home quickly. I also have an sgs2 (not t mobile version tho) but this is what I hate about the sgs:

-macro shots suck cant focus at anything less than a foot away

-screen colors are unnatural and over saturated

-lack of a dedicated camera button

-when it is completely flat you plug it in you cant turn it on 4 about 5mins

The resolution is higher on the amaze so quadrant scores can't be taken as gospel

In the vid you said you couldn't use video with Google Talk on the GS2, actually you can. I have the GS2 and there is a little check box in Google Talk that allows you to enable or disable video and voice chats.

looks like the GS2's Brightness is at 100% while Amaze is turned down. I own both of these phones, and have compared brightness, Amaze is much brighter in auto brightness over SG2. And the Galaxy S2 has a blue/green tint to the screen, very noticable when compared to other non-AMOLED screens. Also Camera on Amaze is much better than SG2. Overall I like Amaze over SG2, however, Amaze battery is about half of the SG2, which sucks.

Both are great phones overall, just depends on what you need.

You actually can take snap shots with the amaze. Also the amazes front facing camera is 2 and the reason why the amaze had slower speeds on the speestest the GPS was trying to connect so it slowed it down

Another great review. This was my big dilemma last week, but sided w/ the GS2, too. They're neck-and-neck for the most part. For every advantage one device had, the other had another that canceled it out.

In the end, I use my mobiles to make videos and, whereas I prefer the hardware button the Amaze provides, the final product is what counts. The Amaze's audio recording was just too poor. GS2 was the best choice for me.

forgot to mention i switched from Verizon to the Sprint network, Verizon would not honor its 2 year free upgrade phone when i wanted the I-phone, i waited forever to get it, they said i needed to shell out $200.00 if i wanted the I-phone, i was a loyal 6 year customer who never missed a payment... how's that for customer appreciation and rewarding their long time customers. Sprint was a better fit anyway.
