@tAkETM reverb! amp gets natural tube distortion when turned up. so you use the volume pot on the guitar to control cleans & dist etc. the amp will distort at different rates depending on how hard you pick on the strings/notes. fender amps are the best. you can change out the phase inverter tube from a 12at7 with a 12ax7 and get more distortion from the amp. nice for blues. its cause of dick dale that we have super loud amps and he used 15 in speakers made special for him from Altec Lansing
I'll bet Dale's amp could power a large portion of St. Louis.
